This is a great place, with very polite staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable, all the equipment works, there are no dirty spots or stains on the walls. What is very important, there are no insects. Sometimes there is noise from the corridor, but having changed many hotels in India, this is a common problem. I can confidently recommend this hotel, it is an ideal ratio of price, quality, location.

The staff at the hotel, especially the manager Mahesh, went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable during my stay. It was my first time in Rishikesh and the team was always there to answer any questions that I had or to attend to my requests. The breakast was amazing and the location of the hotel was ideal. I highly recommend Yog Niketan to anyone visiting Rishikesh. It's been a couple of months since I visited Rishikesh but the memories are still with me in large part because of the staff at Yog Niketan and how well they looked after me. It was my first time in India, and choosing the Taj was the best decision I could’ve made. The team made me feel cared for from the first moment—I even asked when to return to see the mountains green, as in May they matched the golden Ganga! As a solo traveler, I was touched by the thoughtful precautions—calls screened by reception, safety tips about monkeys, and a direct contact from security (thank you, Himanshee!). My villa was perfectly placed between yoga and reception, with a stunning Ganges view. Pawan and his team kept it pristine, adding lovely local spa treats and always stocking my favorite tea. Morning tea on the balcony became a cherished ritual. Hi-tea with Helmata-ji was a daily delight—black tea with ginger and cardamom, always divine. I also loved discovering the espresso machine, sipping a cappuccino by Bhagwat while gazing at the Himalayas—pure magic. Staying longer, the Rock Flour team quickly tuned in to my tastes. Special thanks to Dipak Kumar Singh for crafting fresh, healthy off-menu dishes that truly pampered my palate. Everyone’s kindness and smiles made me feel right at home. I came for “me-time,” and the daily yoga, meditation, and sound healing—plus private sessions—were everything I hoped for. Shivani, your guidance turned my stay into a true retreat. You are both a gifted teacher and now, a friend. For adventure, Jitendra’s team offered great experiences. Trekking with Ajay, a passionate mountaineer, was a highlight—sharing local lore, spotting wildlife, and guiding me to a village temple, even across the river by inflatable boat! All in all the stay at Taj Rishikesh was exceptional!

The hotel location is excellent offering best of both the worlds. its surrounded by lush greenery and dense tree cover and yet it is close to the bustling and happening hill station of Mussoorie. The breakfast was a lavish spread of various cuisines - continental, north Indian and south Indian. The presentation and layout was immaculate and the preparation was lip smacking. Above all the staff was ever ready to help and always had smiling faces. All in all a memorable experience - would definitely come again.

Great Hotel just a few minutes from Mall Road. Very professional staff and able to help you out anytime. Breakfast spread was amazing. Room spacious having amazing views to the valley. Hotel is huge with lots of room options. Special note: Last day of our stay our daughter was not well and the hotel staff went the extra mile to ensure that we helped. They sent one of their guys with us in the car to ensure that we were helped out on the route and at the hospital. Much appreciated.

Ease, the staff. Gym was superb, location- I ended up giving a video testimonial. What I loved was, my daughter was talking with a friend till about 4 am (teenagers!!) And the security guy asked her to use the banquet hall! I mean the care and calmness these folks have - who does it! So I would recommend this anytime! And yea, they gave us late (VERY LATE) checkout by 4 hours at 800 rs.. which is really cool!

I liked the property, it's very beautiful and well maintained. The staff are excellent and extremely helpful. I would suggest adding more modern facilities to existing rooms, like adding a fully enclosed shower so the whole bathroom doesn't get wet.

Rishikesh is famous as spiritual destination… it serves the purpose to the extent but one of the major issue I would like to share is that walking trails specifically near Parmarth Ashram is full of chaos due to fast moving two wheeler in the narrow path and making horns. I think the issue can be resolved by making the path free of two wheelers which can ply on the back streets. In the good tourist spots of the world there is always free walking paths

Hosting isn't a forte in entire uttarakhand. It's beautiful, but too many people are closed minded and unpassionate about what they do, yet charges are high across the board. So, adjust expectations beforehand.

Cool nice place for a quiet clean air quality and noise free stay within a green jungle area. Kulchas, Tasty Tea, Maggie, biryani, local food, FRUITS, at decent prices all over. Charm of Safari and Tiger is in air. Not too hilly to reach, like mussorie, nainital or shimla. Plain fast access but feel of a real hill station through out for kilometres.

There are many more less explored resorts in Uttrakhand like ranikhet mukteshwar etc which offer pristine and great panoramic view. Bhimtal is crowded and may be okay for the first time travellers to Uttrakhand.

Haldwani is very neat and clean small town. This town gives traveller very good connectivity to kaichi dhaam, nainital, bhimtal and further up hill like Rudraprayag, Devprayag kausani. There are very good facilities of buses and taxi. Again taxi quotes very high rate. I had booked taxi from Haldwani to Kausani. We wanted big car Artiga or innova but they started with 10k for the drop. Finally after lots of barggeing and arguments they agreed @ 4000 This was not a good experience, again no honesty,cab drivers don't even think twice before quoting twice or sometimes triple the amount. This is not my first time experience,I have been traveling with my husband and daughter past 7 years in Uttarakhand and Himachal. I found Lack of honesty in mountains.

We had great time at Villa.

We had great time at Villa. My daughter loved to play around in beautiful garden and green lawns. Rooms and washrooms were spot clean with lovely interiors. Comfortable beds and has multiple recreation options for kids and adults. Amazing views of sunrise and the nature around. Great home cooked food with morning and evening tea.

Good views.

Good views. Good budget friendly hotels and BnB's. its good for maybe a long weekend or just 3-4 days. Longer than that and you could explore maybe nearby towns or areas, because there is nothing really to do in mukteshwar except the shiv temple and chauli ki jali.
