it's in a remote location but really easy to access to and the great thing is that check in is at 4pm but I arrived earlier (like few hour earlier) and the room was ready!. The staff was friendly and the dinner was good although they have a short menu.
Best thing, I was already sleeping and I got the call so I was able to see the northern light!

Rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with a kettle.
There is a swimmingpool and hot tubes available.
The location is great with less than 40 mins to Reykjavik and 1.30 hr to the airport.

The hotel exceeds my expectations! The staff was amazing ( special tanks to Bianca ) , the food at the hotel restaurant was very good and tasty !
The hotel have 2 hot tubs and I was able from there to reach the northern lights !

Great place in south of Iceland.
The town of "flowers" is a good name for this place, as it is the warmest place in Iceland, where they grow flowers and enjoy life.
It has the best swimming pool of the whole country, with an amazing "steam room" that is heated with steam straight from the vulcanic core of our planet.

I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

Centre of Fludir has grocery store, a gas station and 2 hotels - all four located very closely across the street. So we could get full tank of gadoline to drive further and wr had really good breakfast in hotel, but for the evening got some food in the shop. We didn't spend much time there and sayed only for one night driving through from one destination point to anothes as we dind't find any interesting object to visit in this town.

We loved everything! The glass bubble and the hot tub outside are fantastic additions to this lovely cottage. Our host was very helpful and patience, response quick. We had the most amazing and memorable 3 nights here!

Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

Geyser area is a popular stop in Iceland. Although I was skeptical of a hotel, located at a tourist, attraction, the hotel impressed us. The facility was new. The restaurant was top notch. In the evening After the tourist flow slows down, it is awesome to have so close to a cool attraction

What I liked most was the location and the cottage itself.
What I liked most was the location and the cottage itself. It was in fantastic conditions and modern styled which made it feel very luxury.
We ate at the restaurant which has the same owner as the cottages, and though it was a great selection of food - it was not the best for me who's gluten intolerant. However, they were super helpful and made sure I got something as well.

Location was great.
Location was great. Very close to all Golden circle attractions. Very quiet and peaceful place. The hotel was converted from former catholic school. The property has Catholic church on a turf house on site. Our room was big with skylights that could be closed at night. There are a lot of sitting areas with comfy chairs and fireplace and even a piano for gatherings. Dinner was very tasty. Breakfast was excellent. Stuff worked very efficiently. We liked this place very much and recommend it.

We did two day-trips in the full days we had staying here, one to the North and northwest, the other to the northeast. We also saw things on the way from the KEF Airport, and on our way to the next destination on the Ring Road.
