Breakfast was basic but just enough. Staff was very accommodating. Location was perfect for us to drive to jokulsarlon during the night to go watch the aurora. I really recommend this place. Parking just outside (for free) even the towels were embroider with their emblem (I’m a sucker for the little details) the common area is so beautiful too!

Largest bathroom out of 7 accommodations we booked in Iceland! We were so impressed by the home decor and how Cosy it was. A nice touch of icelandic tradition everywhere you look. The hotel is on a farm, the reception and the restaurant are by the gates and then The rooms are in two buildings. There is also a museum attached to the restaurant (free of charge). The staff were very good, the rooms were new, well maintained and spacious. Every building has a coffee machine where you can get coffee and tea 24 hours a day for free.
We had dinner twice the food was very good and locally sourced. Also the breakfast buffet was good and had lots of options. The glacier is a 15 min drive.

+Fantastic and amazing location surrounded by amazing landscapes 360 degrees. We could have a fantastic view of vesterhorn, heinaberg glacier from here
+ common toilet and bathroom were very clean and well maintained
+ Breakfast was excellent and the the breakfast eating area is with a fantastic view
+ paid dinner option was excellent . We get to taste the lamb meat from their own farm. It was fantastic.

We stayed here for two nights. The view of the mountains with a waterfall was absolutely beautiful and made the stay extra special. The room was cozy, well-furnished, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. There was also a separate shared kitchen which was very convenient for preparing breakfast.

The size of the rooms are great, plenty of room to relax. Greta to have tea and coffee too. The beds were very comfortable. The shower was amazing!
Response from management was extremely quick when I had to change to a double bed room.

an oasis of life in the middle of nature. Friendly and helpful staff, not only informed about the local rules, but also gave a lot of advice about the condition of the hike and the surrounding roads. Thermal baths are a great way to relax. Thank you!

Pretty new, extremely clean and lots of space in the room. Comfortable beds. Private bathroom. Good breakfast, actually it was a glad surprise compared to previous reviews. Location was also good close to Diamond Beach. Totally almost hotel level.

The waters and views of the glaciers viewed from a far are beautiful. Also some of the little food places reflect the cosiness of a working port. Quaint working port village. Worth a stop or basing yourself there to visit the surrounding geography.

We loved how cozy this house was. We were able to cook and enjoy the beautiful views from every side of this house. It was close to glacier lagoon and a couple of nice restaurants. We went hiking up the mountain and watched the sheep. there is a lovely waterfall in the back as well. Loved our stay so much

The service was very good. The reception and dining staff were amazing. Super friendly.
Dinner had good options and was delicious. Breakfast is fairly standard inclusive continental.
Location was 100/10 far more scenic than I expected. Right underneath a mountain and only a 15 min drive from guided tour meeting points and glaciers

The guesthouse gave a accurate description of the area so we knew what services were there and not there and could plan ahead. We loved walking around and the sights and hikes that were nearby. It was so easy to get to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, and we could go back to see them at night too. The hosts had many recommendations for what to do and it definitely enhanced our trip!

stunning, make sure you walk all the way down the trail, there are two other gorgeous waterfalls that a lot of people missed by not going all the way to end end of the trail (which is only a few hundred meters long).

We enjoyed the cabin we stayed in.
We enjoyed the cabin we stayed in. The bedding was very nice and the kitchen perfectly stocked with dishes. The playground was fun. The office sells some camping supplies. There are not enough showers, only one for each gender. The kitchen/cooking area is bare bones. There are some nice tables inside. The staff was very helpful and kind.

Absolutely loved the variety of fresh, farm to table offerings, and homemade breads at breakfast. Dinner menu was extensive, meals were delicious. Enjoyed seeing the sea birds, and sheep in the pasture. Views of mountain and bay/ ocean were great. Very close to Glacier Bay and Diamond Beach. Peaceful. Staff were friendly. Highly recommend and will return when I come back to Iceland.

Great location for glaciers and hiking. Comfortable beds, excellent shower products. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. Bar was nice as well.

Hofn is great, quiet and cosy, but I believe that staying in...
Hofn is great, quiet and cosy, but I believe that staying in the nearby villages is even more comfy. The town has a few great restaurants, a really wonderful little pool with hot tubs. Weather permitting, it has a great view on the Vestrahorn mountains + some nice shoreline walking paths.
