The hotel is located very high up above the sea, according to locals, nearly 800m above sea. The road to village Bomerano from Amalfi coast is steep, narrow and full of bends. Hotel itself is renovated, it has a beautiful terrace, where you can have breakfast. All staff is super friendly and help you all they can. Our room had a big balcony with sitting corner and sunbed. But most of all, the view was spectacular. The pool is nice refreshment after all the crowd in Amalfi coast. The hotel provides free drive to Bomerano and back, which is very convenient in the evening to go to a dinner. In Bomerano there are several good restaurants and you can choose from pizza to almost a Michelin star dinner.

My favourite hotel that I’ve ever stayed in! Had the best time relaxing by the pool and then watching the sunset from our ocean view room! The staff were incredible and made us feel so welcome. They gave us the best dinner recommendation and organised a private shuttle to Naples for our group. The chef was incredible and talented and breakfast was an EXPERIENCE. Cannot wait to come back! I have never felt more relaxed in my life.

Location is great for making trips to Amalfi, Ravello and Positano by bus and boat. Fjordo di Furore is a small but breathtaking beach accessible through one of the several stairways on the mountain from Hotel. The hotel itself is far from the busy tourist spots however, so one can enjoy a relaxing, calm environment and also a stunning panorama. Staff is super kind and helpful, cuisine is great.

I liked the phantastic private terrace with view and the breakfast served in the room. The room was spacious and had very nice design. The toilet was with remote control like the ones you see when you go to Japan, that was an interesting feature to explore for the kids. I liked the location, which was perfect and the very friendly service. There was a private sauna in our room which we didn't use but was a nice feature. The logistics are very well organised with valet parking and with staff that helps with the suitcases at arrival which help a lot due to the Positano numerous stairs. Also we had to leave one day earlier due to an emergency and they were supernice to return the full fee for that night.

  • ‘Painted Village’ of Furore

Small but full of character, this stunning hillside town gets its other moniker from the colourful open-air museum of murals lining its bougainvillea-lined streets.
  • Romantic Ravello

While Annunziata Historic Building hosts recitals, Villa Rufolo also delights with spectacular views and concerts in its gorgeous gardens.
  • Handcrafted goods from the Amalfi Coast

  • Sunbathing along the Amalfi Coast

Crystal clear waters and endless stretches of golden sands run from Duoglio Beach in Amalfi to Cavallo Morto Beach in Maiori, while the hidden Laurito Beach near Positano is wonderfully secluded.

FAQs about hotels in Amalfi Coast

A Feast For the Eyes

Comprised of brightly coloured villages cascading down sheer cliffs, the Amalfi Coast is on the opposite side of a peninsula from Sorrento. Between the UNESCO World Heritage-listed villages are lemon groves and winding roads hugging the coastline that are definitely not for the nervous driver!

In wonderful Positano, delicately positioned houses somehow manage to cling to the cliffs. The next village along is Praiano, on a flatter piece of land and with a 12th-century church. Furore in the hills above a fjord has its own winery.

Amalfi itself is picturesque, as it rises from the harbour to the top of its 13th-century cathedral. As the coast’s largest town, it has a good selection of bars, restaurants and accommodation. Adjoining it is Atrani, a fishing village with a dramatic, beachside road supported by arches.

High above is Ravello whose Villa Rufolo’s landscaped gardens offer magnificent panoramas of the coastline below. Due to its position, this town boasts the Amalfi Coast hotels with the best views and, of course, prices to match. Back at sea level Minori and Maiori have the longest beaches.

Due of all this splendor, you might struggle to find cheap Amalfi Coast hotels, but there is also a selection of affordable apartments and B&Bs on Booking.com, and in any case the fantastic views makes the price well worth it.

This is a wonderful hotel at a great location but the beach really is indescribable - it is so wonderful to have a private beach (and free parking!) at the hotel that can be accessed via elevator, while the cliffs and stairs obviously make the charm of the Amalfi coast, travelling it 35* degree heat or with 60-70 year old family members, it was truly wonderful to have this easy - it really felt like a holiday. The main waitor is also super friendly and the reception staff organized a private hairdresser for my dad to get a haircut in our room!

The hotel is absolutely fabulous. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The view from our room was simply breathtaking — it honestly felt unreal. The hotel’s décor is charming and beautifully thought out, adding to the whole experience. We had an amazing stay! The staff went above and beyond to help us with our suitcases and anything we needed, always with a smile. There are also great spots nearby to eat and have a drink, making the location even more special.

We were greeted by Carmelo, a typical Italian, as if he had stepped out of a romantic movie (if you have seen the movie with Robert Downey Jr. Only You), who with a smile invites you into this gorgeous atmosphere! I highly recommend this hotel, where you will feel at home and at the same time like a scene from a movie❤️

The hotel is located exactly at the entrance of the city of Salerno. Our room was very large and very nicely renovated. We were told that the rooms facing the port have been renovated and the rooms facing the sea have not been fully renovated. We chose the renovated room and it was very nice. Of course, the view of the rooms that have a direct view of the sea is definitely better.

Amalfi is a small and charming town with beautiful architecture and a lovely atmosphere. However, since it’s the central town of the entire Amalfi Coast, it tends to get very crowded — which unfortunately takes away some of its charm. That said, it’s still worth a visit, especially to admire its history and beauty. But I highly recommend exploring the nearby towns as well — like Positano, Atrani, Maiori, Minori, and others — each of them has its own unique character and is often much more peaceful and authentic.

    We loved where we stayed.

We loved where we stayed. Last year, we visited the Amalfi Coast which was beautiful. This year we went to Capri, which was amazing. The local shops were great and the people are very friendly and helpful. We ate locally or cooked and had a few favourite spots. It was easy to walk around where we stayed, for longer trips we had the rental car. We could ask our host for directions and tips on where to visit.

It is easy to reach (most other towns are a pain to drive to), and is a great place to explore from, with Pompeii only 25 mins drive and Herculaneum around 35 minutes, all motorway. The town itself is very authentic and prices are reasonable compared to the better known places. The boat service to other Amalfi towns is regular and easy to use without being too expensive (€25 return to Amalfi for 2 people) - we enjoyed the boat trips as much as the towns which were generally heaving with tourists, I’d hate to think what high season is like

Amazing city with very nice restaurants and great ferry connection. It was a very good decision for us to stay in a smaller city, because Maiori has a fantastic beach, it was not that busy, but we still had access to all the bigger cities on the coast.

Driving is highly not recommended, roads are very, very narrow with a lot of turns, very nerve wrecking. The area is beautiful and worth visiting over and over. Great scenery, great food. Just don’t drive.

We enjoyed Praiano immensely and would make that our home base if we were ever to come back. We found a few very nice restaurants with lovely staff and delicious food. Went down the 400 hundred steps to the lovely beach with aqua blue water. Getting around is a bit of a challenge with all the steps. We enjoyed the challenge. It was also nice to get away from the tourists. Prison is much quieter.

Minori offers fabulous beaches, views and restaurants, as well as great hikes / walks, all whilst remaining unspoilt and true to it's culture and traditions. It really feels a privelege to be able to stay there and enjoy their lifestyle and beautiful home.

Furore is around 15km from amalfi, sounds close but in reality due to the winding roads it takes around 25 minutes in a car/bus Furore is quite spread out so you need to take that in to account when staying there. Car/moped is the best method of transport followed by the bus, walking is an option but be prepared for many steep hills. This is a perfect base to get into amalfi, but be aware that parking in amalfi itself is challenging and the police/car towing companies are red hot!

Peaceful and quiet—perfect for a relaxing vacation.

Peaceful and quiet—perfect for a relaxing vacation. There are plenty of good restaurants and enough markets for everyday needs. The area also offers great historical sites to explore, along with the beautiful Valle delle Ferriere nature park nearby. A convenient bus stop with frequent service makes it easy to get around the area without a car.
