Great to see St. Mark's Square at various times. We went to Vespers in the evening and Mass in the morning. Along with listening to Rick Steves audio this gave us a nice experience with the Basillica. Also to take the Grand Canal several times (us with RS). Torino is a great city for everything - sightseeing, food, cultural experiences, etc. As I have already submitted a review of Torino, in order not to repeat the same things, I will write about our visits to Genova and Novara. Genova is situated to the south of Torino - two hours by train. We went there to visit the Aquarium, and we weren't disappointed. However, apart from that, I wouldn't recommend it as it reminds me of Napoli - polluted, dirty, too many immigrants, not much to see. If I have to give it a rating 10/10 for Torino and 7/10 for Genova. I could add one mark for the famous Pesto Genovese, which you can purchase anywhere in the world. For a much better experience, I would recommend visiting Novara. Situated to the east of Torino - one hour by train (in the direction of Milano), you will find there the famous Basilica di San Gaudenzio, and more precisely, the Cupola (the dome). At 121 metres tall, it is one of the tallest domes in the world. More importantly, tourists can book a climb of the cupola (up to 100 metres), which is a once in a lifetime experience.
