We enjoyed a lot our stay at Davanzati, the staff is great and they have multiple benefits(besides the breakfast) that we were not aware when we made the reservation and that were a nice finding: - Happy hour with free drinks - Coffee time with free treats and cake In general the hotel was pretty great, the location is perfect and near all the main attractions from the city and you can easily walk there from the train station. I couldn't recommend it more.

We stayed at the hotel in April 2025 as four families with children, and we had a fantastic experience. The family rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, with everything we needed for our stay. The garden area was lovely, with chairs, sun loungers, and tables that allowed us to enjoy lunch or dinner outdoors, in the fresh air and with stunning views of vineyards and forests. The kids played freely and safely on the grass while we relaxed nearby. Reception service was excellent—every request was answered quickly and with genuine care. Breakfast was rich, varied, and delicious. The pool area was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Each group of rooms had its own pool and kids' pool, giving us full privacy throughout our stay. It was a perfect vacation, and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to families and anyone looking for peace, comfort, and beautiful surroundings. ---

We had a wonderful stay in Montaione, and a huge part of that was thanks to Laura, who was an absolutely amazing host. She was kind, attentive, and always available whenever we needed anything. From helpful local tips to making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay, Laura went above and beyond. The property itself was beautiful and peaceful—perfect for enjoying the Tuscan countryside. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a relaxing and authentic experience in Tuscany!

I liked the fact the room was clean. We have asked for a cot, as we travelled with our child. The breakfast was delicious, with great variety of food. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and very accomodating. We have travelled a lot and stayed in different hotels around Europe and i can say that the staff in Palazzo Castri was class. Fairplay to the management for this!

Amazing place to stay at when visiting Florence - especially for families with kids, but also for everyone searching for some peace and quiet in a close vicinity to the city center - the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio are all just a short drive away down the hill. The entire complex is beautiful, spacious and with a lot of interesting areas to spend your time.

Location of the hotel near by the center (T1, direct connection 7 stops), very good beeakfast (6 EUR) - good choice and high quality, very clean room, free parking place and free stay for our dog and of course, the best of this hotel is staff - very friendly, especially one guy from Eritrea (Africa). He helped really a lot and cared about our comfort. Thanks a lot!

Stuff is excellent. Generally everything was fine. Chef is preparing interesting combination of meals. Lunch was amazing, simple options(mostly pasta) but mastered to perfection. Olive oil is amazing, would buy some but we are not producing our own…. Would suggest some simpler options for dinner as well. In the end we enjoyed lunch more than chefs menu for dinner.

Everywhere you go in Florence there is somthing to see. You have to go back to again and again. To eat fish you have to go to Pescheria Sugarello in Marcato Centrale. You sit on small stalls very ice wine serve in plastic glasses and the fish cooked in front of you. We have been to Florence five times now and have our lunch at Pescheria Sugarello ever day. Casa Del Vino Firenze to sit and have a glass of wine tuck behind the stalls.

The place I stayed was great, the owner was so sweet that she was willing to give me a ride to the train station by my departure. The breakfasts that she made was very delicious and at the time I needed (for Tuscany tour i needed to leave at 6:30am instead of regular breakfast at 7:30am) she prepared it for me. Only some minus I would give to a distance from the train station to the property. But from other hand it was a good exercise:)

We used Empoli as a base as the train station offered many possibilities as a central hub. We did however really enjoy a lovely walk in the scenic hills. The center was clean and had a really nice vibe to it and the locals were very friendly. We were also told by a historian that the city had a good museum of art although we didn't have time to investigate further unfortunately due to time.

San Casciano is remote in the beautiful Tuscan Hills, although just 40 minutes slow drive to Florence The hotel is 7 minutes outside the town, so walking is difficult. Need a car to go anywhere. Taxis are not available. This hotel is pretty good, but the much-acclaimed restaurant is, at best, just above average and pricey. Claims to be "special" but isn't! Terrace dining is romantic but watch the wasps in the daytime and mosquitos in the evening. Swmming pool fairly small and crowded. Grounds are pristine and lots of lovely bougainvillea. Reception staff smile a lot. Huge carpark!

This place was incredible. The property was beautiful and so well kept. The owner, Alex, could t have done more to make sure we were comfortable in our stay and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He was really friendly, great with our kids and made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were so well decorated, the beds comfy and Alex had great recommendations for exploring the area nearby. Don't try to see everything unless you plan to stay a month.

Don't try to see everything unless you plan to stay a month. There are so many wonderful sites to see! We danced in the Piazza by the Duomo when musicians played for the crowds - so romantic! There are great tours with terrific guides like Walkabout Tours with Davide - fantastic. And make sure you go to see Vinci at Vino Wine Tasting Experience. She knows everything about the local Tuscan wines. Remember to dress comfortably but respectfully. The cobblestone streets are pretty harsh on our tender American feet. These streets are thousands of years old. Also, be kind - Italians are a wonderful people and love to show off their amazing goods and services - like the fabulous food and wine! Most of all, please remember to say GRAZIE and Per favore.
