Everything was excellent and we would definitely stay again. Check-in: hours are limited so make sure to arrive between those hours. The staff are very friendly and provided us with great information on nearby walks and hikes suitable for winter. The staff were also responsive to our messages via booking.com in advance of our trip. Apartment: The apartment was extremely clean and the bed was really comfy. The bathroom was nice with a huge sink and powerful shower. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed; we had read some reviews and were not sure what would be there when we arrived, some said they didn't even have a kettle. But we had everything we needed - actually even more than we needed :) - pots, pans, roasting dishes, kettle, coffee maker, even things like a cheese grater and kitchen scissors, and all of it was extremely clean. Location: lovely mountain views, a short downhill walk in to town, plenty of grass around (important when travelling with a dog :)). The town of Bovec is lovely. Apparently extremely busy in the summer. Small supermarket in town or a short drive to something bigger. We were there in the off-season (between Christmas and New Year) and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Great walks/hikes directly from the apartment or a short drive. All walks in the area are very well sign posted. Beautiful sightseeing (e.g. Slap Virje, Velika Korita). Parking: plenty of parking and free right outside the apartment.Guest review bySteph FAustria

The small and boutique hotel own as well a Michelin restaurant, while their passion at quality food is also shared on breakfast table. The nearby town of Radovljica offers interesting tourist attractions and outstanding restaurants, while very close to Bled but away from the noisy and busy tourists. The dinner at the hotel restaraunt was delicious, as was the breakfast each morning of our stay. Also the spa is a must go. All in all, a beautiful experience in a hotel were you feel like you are a part of a diplomatic visit. We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake Bohinj, on reflection, we preferred Lake Bohinj to Bled, it was less busy, quieter, and if we wanted was in each reach of Bled for a visit. Kobarid is a nice town by the river Soca with only cca 1000 inhabitants, but as a regional center the town serves a cca 5000 heads strong community. Worth to visit the Kobarski Muzej (WWI museum), the town center with the church, restaurants and very very good ice cream. Do not miss to climb up to the church and Italian monument, check out the Napoleonov most (Napoleon's bridge) and the Slap Kozjak (Kozjak waterfall). These are all accessible on foot. You can also take a tour following a marked hiking trail, see the beautiful nature, the mountains, the emerald color of the Soca river, historical monuments line WWI trenches and forts all along the river. A beautiful quaint town on the Soca Vaey. Loads of swimming spots along the river, and a place to rent kayaks, sups etc at the dam. I recommend travveling along the river, up to Gabrje and further for more beautiful river locations. We stayed just outside of town, which I recommend if you have your own transport. Visiting Bled was very good.
Visiting Bled was very good. It offers several interesting sites, and the people are very friendly towards visitors and generally speak very good English. We recommend visiting Vintgar Gorge and Lake Bohinj. Ljubljana was a bit disappointing, particularly the castle, which is just a shell filled with exhibitions.
