This was my first trip to Rome and I chose this hotel due to the location and figured you could not go wrong with the Radisson brand. It exceeded my expectations. The staff were very professional and friendly, giving me great recommendations for activities and sight-seeing. The location is absolutely superb, located in the heart of Rome and near to all the major attractions, but even though I went in high season I did not feel overwhelmed. The hotel was very clean, great breakfast and small but very efficient and well run gym. I have already recommended to colleagues who will be visiting Rome later this year, and I plan to book again on my return in October. Thank you!

This is such a beautiful boutique hotel that I wish I had more time to stay in it. I only spent one night, the room was very pretty, the amenities are lovely. I was given a room with a balcony that looked into the interior courtyard. The staff were super welcoming and friendly. The location is very central. I’m definitely coming back.

I absolutely loved everything about my stay at this amazing hotel. The location is unbeatable, making it convenient to explore and enjoy the surroundings. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding – everything was spotless and well-maintained. A delightful bonus was the Rituals body care products provided in the bathroom, which added a touch of luxury to my stay. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return!

From outside you couldn't tell how modern the interior is. I liked the minimalist design. The room was big, the whole floor was quiet, and also the temperature was nice. The bathroom was clean and brand new, as everything else. The room TV has builtin casting so we could enjoy our shows there without any problem. We didn't use the wifi so I have no experience with that. We didn't have hotel breakfast so I too. From our window there was nice view of the Chiostro di Michelangelo. The hotel is in walking distance from Termini, however I suggest everyone to first go to Repubblica metro station and then turn to Via Cernaia. There are less people on the streets.

Came to Rome to explore Ancient Rome and the Renaissance...

Came to Rome to explore Ancient Rome and the Renaissance period. A walking tour of Ancient Rome is highly recommended, but a trip inside the Colosseum should be avoided - there's nothing really to see. Instead, your time could be better spent avoiding the crowds and visiting the Museo Nationale Romano near Termini Station. Here you will find collections of Ancient Rome statuary, mosaics, and frescos that were unearthed around Rome, and reconstructed as they were found in Roman homes/villas. Spend time pondering the culture and people that created these works, in a crowd free museum, rather than being ushered thru the Colosseum like a herd of cattle. In the same way, the Vatican tour was quite a disappointment. Though the Vatican does have an extensive collection of Renaissance Art, you are quickly ushered through the museum with THOUSANDS of other people each day, with no time to reflect on the art - you spend more time trying to keep up with your guide than actually enjoying the art. Fortunately, we had a tour guide recommend we visit the Basilica di Santa Maria dei Popolo (Flamino Metro Stop). Here you will find works of Renaissance art 'In Situ' (Just as they were meant to be displayed) and not in a museum. Look for the light button in each chapel, to illuminate the art - a few chapels require a 1 or 2 Euro coin to illuminate the art. But again, the lack of crowds made for a greater chance to enjoy the art. And finally, take a day trip to Pompeii or Herculaneum. Here you will find the remains of the Ancient Roman civilization better preserved than anywhere in Rome.

There is no easy walking access to the cruise port or terminals, you will have to book a taxi OR take a bus from the train station to the port (40e). It is confusing and not well detailed by the cruise companies - do your research. Taxi from the train station to an apartment is equally a hassle (30e minimum).

Viterbo is a lovely town to visit and it is definitely a trip worth it if you want to escape all the hassle and bustle of Rome. Viterbo has a unique charm and I fell in love with it when I walked the Via Francigena. I stayed in Orchard Bed & Breakafast in Viterbo centre on the Via francigena path as it is available for pilgrims. Viterbo has more than one Spa resort. There are plenty of restaurants and the city is booming with vibrance and cafes. staying 3 nights in Viterbo was definitely worth it. The Park is lovely and the people are friendly. You do not have to worry about theft or other annoying misdemeanors. I would recommend 'Pizza Express'. It is an Indian restaurant, reasonable price and offers a wide range of dishes!!!

We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June.

We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June. We experienced a local feel with few tourists. the old town is fantastic. We rented electric bikes, which is recommended. Then you can get around easily. A trip up to the temple went like a dream in the heat. We also cycled out to the Cantina Sant'Andrea winery. It took approx. one hour one way. A wonderful trip and a great visit where we tasted many good wines. One should also enter a trip to Ponza. The ferry departs from the city centre. An incredibly cozy island. We chose to rent a boat when we were out there, so that we could take a trip to the outside of the island and swim in the crystal clear water. It was magical! We only took a day trip, but we should have included an overnight stay at Ponza.

Villa d’Este was amazing and had waterfalls to rival Palace of Versailles. The walk through Villa Gregoriana gardens down the side of the hill to the bottom of the waterfalls was a solid hike and not for the feeble. Definitely take a couple of hours to visit Hadrian’s Villa (aka Villa Adriana) which had amazing historical half crumbling palace and ornamental lake.
