We stopped off here as a last minute resort after being stuck trying to get through the Mont Blanc Tunnel for 4 hours 😫 The little chalet was spacious, light, immaculate and beautiful. We were a party of 4 adults, a teenager and a toddler and we had more than enough room. Parking on site which was under cctv and close to cabin. The surroundings are something you see in movies and stunning to wake up to. There is a little park which the toddler enjoyed and kept her busy for an hour before bed. The resort was very peaceful and the restaurant food was amazing! Best pizza we had in Italy. We enjoyed our surprise stay so much that we left our main accommodation a day early on the way back to stay again!Guest review bySammyGuernsey

With booking a skiing trip for a group, the correspondence from the staff; in particular André in order to purchase ski passes and rent out skiing gear provided by the hotel was very much appreciated. The hotel provide a storage department near the skiing platform which is an extra bonus, we were all too happy to leave out equipment there instead of going back with it to the hotel each day. The spa facilities are also very good, and the massage on the Friday night after a week on the slopes was incredible. The train station was very near and the city centre was there too. There was a food and culture fair going on and it was a awesome time to be there to sample all the food from the region. We had great recommendations from the hotel service and they even book the lunch place for us. Great food, great service and lovely people. The breakfast selection was very large and included local cheeses and well as big selection of sweets. Loved how interesting Aosta was - Roman Ruins and a lot of history plus great bar & restaurant choices & friendly locals. Very busy each evening when everyone takes an aperitivo & a stroll & easy to get to by coach from Turin. Easy access to other towns & ski resorts in the Aosta Valley too. It is a studio appartment. The pictures on the site makes wrong impression. It seems there bigger. With a view but acctualy ther is no view. It is equipt well & clean . Wonderful city, not chaotic even if it is full of shops, restaurants and cafes. The centre pf the city is mostly pedestrian area all the day. Great little resort for a ski weekend. If your a intermediate skier its great fun and you can keep moving all day as the resort is well connected. Great slopes for beginner's to and a few slopes for a bit of free style fun for advanced skiers . The Aosta valley is an amazing part of Italy that folks from the US probably never visit and that is a shame. The views are stunning and you are extremely close to Mount Blanc (French spelling) and the border of France. Pila is a lovely ski resort. Ample runs for a 6 day trip. Just over €200 for a ski pass giving you access to 2 other Aosta resorts if you want to travel out. Lots of restaurant and bar choice on and off Piste. A great resort I’d quite happily visit again. If you are self catering and have room in your car shop in Aosta for groceries before heading up the windy mountain road. We didn’t have room so had to head down after dropping off bags. No problem as arrived in in good time and didn’t have to use skiing time to do this. We loved Pila. Recommend for novice intermediate skiers or mixed groups.Guest review byKeithIreland
