I stayed 3 hotels in similar price for this holiday in the Dolomites. Of all of them, Cyprianerhof was the only one where everything was perfect. As soon as you arrive, you are 100% in the Alps. The overwhelming view, staff in traditional clothing, fantastic local food, cozy interior... This is much more precious and valuable than the common modern chic style. With all of this, you can feel the 'genuine' experience that you can't have anywhere else. Above all, we were so lucky to be able to attend amazing concert. It was a surprisingly high-quality performance. Once again, thanks to both musicians for giving us an unforgettable moment. If you are considering other similar places, this is the right answer. We will definitely be back in the winter!

We had an amazing stay at Stern BnB during our skiing holidays! The hotel is a perfect blend of Alpine charm and modern elegance—everything was spotlessly clean and felt fresh. The rustic yet stylish decor, especially the plates and cups, added a cozy, nostalgic touch. Breakfast was a real treat, featuring delicious local specialties like speck and cheeses. One of the highlights was the self-service bar, where we could mix cocktails, enjoy a beer, and relax in the beautiful lounge filled with books. After a day on the slopes, the wellness area was a true delight—sauna, steam room, and the pool made for the perfect après-ski relaxation. The staff was wonderful, both at reception and during breakfast service—friendly, professional, and welcoming. We also loved learning that the hotel has been in the same family for over 100 years, which made our stay feel even more special. Highly recommend Stern BnB for anyone looking for a cozy, stylish, and relaxing ski retreat! We will definitely return.

We had an incredible stay at Hotel Cristal in Obereggen. This hotel is a true gem, perfectly situated high in the mountains. The rooms are of the highest quality—spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Everything you need is there, and the comfort is exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The food is the absolute highlight. The cuisine is of a very high standard, with every meal being a delicious experience. The chef is truly a master. We would highly recommend Hotel Cristal to anyone looking for a top-tier experience. Family suit was really big, clean and comfortable with terrace and a good view. There were a big bed for adults and two separate beds for kids. The food in the hotel was exceptional, the breakfast was ok but the dinner a la cart was delicious, elegant and saturating. Lots of activities to do in the hotel and nearby, perfect pool for kids and adults, several saunas for adults only, tennis courts nearby, e-bikes, and of course tracking. The stuff was helpful, all our requests were satisfied. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel and could recommend it for sure!

This accommodation was very comfortable in beautiful surroundings. The hotel provided everything we needed, and we appreciated having the pool towels already in our room. The restaurant meals were delicious, and we were impressed with the selection and quality of the food; the restaurant itself was also very spacious, bright and relaxing. We loved this hotel very much. The staff provided outstanding service and they were very friendly.

Loved our stay here. The staff were superb- kind and helpful. Rooms were tidy and met our needs although a bit tight for a family of 4. Facilities were great, nice bar, loved the outdoor sauna and spa facilities, restaurant was great. Sitting on the balcony and appreciating the view was so much fun. Would love to come back.

While most people head for Val Gardena, this portion of the Dolomities has its own gem: a hike at 2500 meter across the peaks of the Rosengarten Spitze, the iconic Caressa Lake, as well as a hike from the twin peaks of Corno Bianco /Nero to the monastery of Madonna di Pietralba (Maria Weissenstein), to name a few gems.

Nova Ponente is a few minutes drive from the village where the apartment is at, but it offers a lot more eating and shopping options; it also happens to be quite active because it is on the road to many ski locations. It is good to have it be nearby but I preferred the restive peaceful village where the apartment is at.

The setting there is just perfect.

The setting there is just perfect. You’re in a valley and have access to several different hiking paths or mountain biking paths. The towns are your typical south to roll little towns. They was just beautiful, surrounded by the dolomites.

In winter this is the best location to start the skiing /...

In winter this is the best location to start the skiing / snowboarding Latemar experience. The number of lifts, slopes provides for a perfect skiing experience and you can ski all the way to Predazzo and back in a day without having to repeat any of the lifts or slopes unless you like any of them so much that you want to. I keep coming back to Obereggen every winter, it is simply wonderful.

If the big touristic centres are not for you, but you still...

If the big touristic centres are not for you, but you still striving for a good quality of winter sports - Nova Levante/Carezza is an ideal place for you. Plus of location - not to far from Bolzano, which might be handy (e.g. there they have a hospital). Another nice locations for downhill skiing nearby - Obereggen. Or if you like it "intensive and grand" - Sellaronda.

Small ski resort with but with big ski network. Not so many people but still you find fun places for apres-ski and one disco (easy atmosphere). NO waiting at the cablecar or chairlifts in high season. Good ski.

Obereggen is a great place to visit in the summer, if you like to hike in a pristine and spectacular mountain landscape. However, it is relatively far from the main urbanized area and as a consequence does not appear to offer much in terms of in site social and cultural activities. It is mostly populated by hotels and second houses and it harbors essentially no village or local population, beyond those employed by the tourism industry or sparse local agriculture. The hotels generally offer half pension packages even though it is possible to have excellent meals in local restaurants, themselves mostly part of hotels.
