Where can we start... Absolute stunning property, the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. Our flight was delayed and we arrived 2,5 (!) hours after the official check-in time. I have been in touch several times with the staff regarding this topic and they have been really understanding and supportive. And they waited until close to midnight in order for us to still be able to access our rooms. Also, the standard of both the rooms as well as the publicly accessible spaces is really upscale and of much better quality than anticipated.

Absolutely wonderful! Agriturismo Bonello is a charming accomodation, created and mantained with love. The views around are stunning, the place itself offers multiple cozy nooks to chill at and the rooms such as the estate are clean and beautiful. The host is very kind and welcoming! The agriturismo is close to Pienza, which is for me one of the most pittoresque and cute villages of Tuscany, but also in easy distance to other well-known Tuscan cities. Nothing to complain - would come back! Pro tip: buy some of the locally produced olive oil!!

1. The choice of accommodation was excellent. The view from the accommodation was the most beautiful in the world. 2. The size of the room is really big. It is more than twice the size of an average hotel. 3. The hotel staff are friendly and treat everything wholeheartedly. 4. The location of the hotel is a bit secluded, but this is not a problem at all. Rather, because it was high up, I was able to see a truly beautiful view of the Val d'Orcia Plain.

The location is central and just beautiful. It is in the heart of the Toscana. You can get everywhere pretty fast and the personnel is very friendly. I would also recommend dinner where you can taste very good local wine and eat some of the very delicious local foods. The swimming pool was great and always clean. All in all it was a great stay and we will gladly return. Very recommended.

The liver pate was a real surprise & so good, I ordered it again the following night. The steak was cooked to perfection and the pasta was outstanding. A beautiful historic town and one of our favourite stays on our 10-day Italy roadtrip. We traveled as a couple (in our 35-40's), and highly recommend staying at La Romantica Lolo, having a private wine tasting at Ercolani, dining at Ristorante La Grotta, and truffle hunting at Podere il Casale (15-min drive).

Pienza is a gem, with interesting historic buildings, lovely shops, some nice restaurants and breathtaking views. Importantly, it is a perfect basis to explore Val d'Orcia with its fantastic countryside, and beautiful old towns like Montalcino, Montepulciano etc.

THE GOOD : The location is great, close to the Val D'orcia.

THE GOOD : The location is great, close to the Val D'orcia. The amenities of this property are good, rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious enough. The bathroom etc was great. Breakfast was also pretty good, though they could improve their bread selections. THE NOT GOOD : Staff is difficult to get hold of and are not very helpful/friendly. This is compounded by the fact that (if you speak English), they are not very conversant in English. THE BAD : We had specifically requested rooms to be close by but instead we were given rooms that were a 5 mins walk through hallways, elevators and literally on opposite ends of the property.

Bagno Vignoni is a vital part of Italian history as well as the whole surrounding area near and farther away. Charming medieval towns famous for world renown wines like Montalcino, San Quirico d´Orcia, Pienza, Montepulciano or Monticchiello are within a short driving distance. There are few nice walking options to Rocca & Casteglione d´Orcia town located up on the opposite hill southward too.

The hot springs are in a natural setting and they are amazing - much less crowded than Saturnia. There are more hot springs at an old destroyed marble mine which the workers made into pools - locals go there and they are easy to access

Monticchiello is a great hill top village to stay overnight when travelling through Tuscany. Beautifully quiet in the evening but with a number of restaurants to choose from to suit all tastes. We ate at Osteria Fra Paolino which was exceptional and proved to be the best meal of the 2 weeks we spent travelling from Rome through Tuscany to Florence.

Montepulciano is THE Tuscan hill-town to stay in. It is a bit bigger than its neighbors and is a fun place to wander around in. There's a lovely cafe, Lalma, just up the street from Casa degli Orti. There's great art in the town along with wonderful views, and of course, don't forget the wine! Lots of opportunities to taste what Tuscany has to offer. We had a car so we were able to drive to the other hill-towns. Pienza is cute; get some cheese! Montalcino was delightful. The whole area is simply jawdroppingly beautiful!
