The setting is exceptional. Just the adventure of getting to the hotel itself is fun, with 4 elevators and walking along the castle walls. The room was beautiful. Fantastic museums to visit. We could only manage 2 out of the 4, so will return for sure.

Everything was great. I really liked the cosy classic atmosphere of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, the staff was very attentive, they took into consideration my requests & the food was excelent. We also had a place to leave the ski equipment. We will definetly come back!

It is a hotel with a sense of family warmth. The most outstanding strength is the staff members. The hotel can be proud of them :-) Lovely Simone welcomed us with full strength smile :-D the moment we arrived. Gave us great advice about local info, served us afternoon tea, next to the fireplace. What a sweet memory :-) Beautiful Michaela served us perfect wine in the evening, went down well with our delicious dinner :-) The energetic sweet Vivien gave us an energetic breakfast to start a good day full of power on the tracks :-) Room : comfortable, clean, quiet, nice room overlooking the mountain, just magical ! Carpark : Onsite parking. top One most memorable event to mention, it was my birthday, the hotel made a beautiful birthday cake for me. What a surprise, wowwowww.. never experienced anything like this on this scale, home baked birthday cake !! When we checked out, we received another gift. How amazing. Vivien has some talent ! Again, a BIG thank you to all. We were touched by the excellent gestures, the warmth we received. "Good time never end, you can make it continue" :-)) as I said to the elegant lady when we checked out. Promised, see you all again for another good time.

Incredible hotel! Amazing view of the mountains, namely Mont Blanc. It's just wow. We enjoyed this view every day from the balcony of our room. Very friendly and caring team, top-level service! Wonderful breakfasts, where you can collect everything you need for a balanced diet (I would have liked to add a little more vegetables, but it was great anyway!). Wonderful and very atmospheric interior of the hotel and rooms, which gives the feeling as if you are in some movie or fairy tale! I already dream of returning to this hotel!

It still has the charm or a traditional Albergo with the downstairs area still having the charm of its origins in 1930. However our room on the new 4th floor had comfortable bed and a fantastic walk in rain shower which provided the necessary simple modern comforts. The staff were all so welcoming and helpful and the breakfast each morning was lovely. Location for skiing is particularly good as the Frechay lift is now a modern funicular that gives you quick access to the Frechay and Greasonay areas better than from Champoluc. If you want to go into Champoluc for nightlife then you will have to take a taxi or have a car . However for skiing it is a good option and one which exceeded our expectations.

Loved how interesting Aosta was - Roman Ruins and a lot of history plus great bar & restaurant choices & friendly locals. Very busy each evening when everyone takes an aperitivo & a stroll & easy to get to by coach from Turin. Easy access to other towns & ski resorts in the Aosta Valley too. Also very reasonably priced compared to England.

Such a beautiful town!

Such a beautiful town! I felt like I had a much better spot than the other little towns nearby just because of the ease of access to the Matterhorn hiking area. I just walked out my door and it was right there, no driving necessary. Also, it was extremely convenient to come down off the mountain and just grab some dinner.

Nice little village, far from the crowds in Courmajeur and other villages in Val Daosta. It has a groceries store, a bakery and some restaurants/cafe. Definitely less touristy and more authentic. Ideal place to visit the thermal baths, which are fantastic and well worth each euro of the entrance ticket!

A very lovely town that has amenities of a larger town while didn't lose the charm of a small town. It has lots of shops along the pedestrian streets with decent cafe and restaurants. They also have limited free shuttle service to nearby areas, where we chose to stay for the night for easy access to the Monte Bianco Skyway (cable car) back to Chamonix.

Small, nice town with numerous restaurants. Several small markets, one big supermarket open 7 days a week (and not closing for lunch break). The town has an easy autostrada access and is close to Aosta, the largest city in the region. Overall, Saint Vincent gives “small town feel” with having all amenities easily accessible. Good starting point for a day or half day trips to Mont Blanc, Matterhorn (Cervino in Italian) and St. Bernard Pass.

I loved Valtournenche!

I loved Valtournenche! This is a small to medium village in the mountains. Lovely atmosphere when walking through the village. Tourist Information Centre for the village and surrounding area available. Plenty of restaurants /cafes to choose from and even a cheese factory! I hate large crowds so Valtournenche was perfect size for me : )

Only stayed one night then continued to Cervinia. Great location to explore Aosta valley and great base for skiing trips. Not much to do in winter but plenty of hikes in summer, The place is surrounded by mountains!

Lovely village very close to ski resorts.

Lovely village very close to ski resorts. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel for a luxury ski break , coming back to fabulous spa facilities , comfortable lounge bars and beautiful restaurants.

It could have more restaurants and services, but it is good as well as it is. Remember to book restaurant and taxi in advance and You should be ok. No huge party or disco experience, but I came to ski - so it was ok.

I liked the vibe of St Pierre.

I liked the vibe of St Pierre. The small town had mostly older locals in houses that might have been here for centuries, but the surrounding hills had a lot of newer houses which I guess were for people who liked a bit more space and the amazing views. Some of the tallest peaks in Europe are on your doorstep and the area has some of the best Roman ruins in the world outside Rome.
