Somehow baffled by the astonishing development of Madaba, Black Iris remains for me an absolutely outstanding reference. I stayed in the new building on the 1st floor, the big room was perfectly clean, everything is brand new. But the icing on the cake are the hosts who were very helpful. To save your money and nerves, some tips valid in May 2023. First of all, use the Crown Plaza Beach Pass they offer - for a very good price you will have access to the Dead Sea until evening, umbrellas, free soft drinks and free lunch. Second, you can dine in your own restaurant and pay half for double the quality compared to ...er... outside celebrities. Third, you can pay double or triple the price for the same beer in city restaurants or the right price at your own hotel.

The hotel is located in an amazing place. However, please keep in mind that because the location is so exceptional some facilities like wifi are not available (in the end it's an adventure!). Staff of the hotel is very helpful and kind. They helped us to organize the canyoing which was on of our best experience in Jordan. The food prepared by the host is amazing (both breakfast and dinner).

We stayed one night in this family run hotel. We wish we had stayed more. We were treated like special friends, as we noted were other guests. We stayed in a suite which had heaps of room, very comfortable bed, a large comfortable sofa, and superb silent heating/air-conditioning. Everything was sparkling clean and well maintained. Even with all that, the best aspects were the superb fixed price dinner and breakfast buffet which were the best we had in Jordan.

The new and modern Rumman Hotel is a cozy, family-run business. It is quietly located only a 10-minute walk from the historical centre of Madaba, also known as the City of Mosaics.
