The location was perfect. Parking was provided nearby. The staff/caretaker whom we met was extremely helpful, kind and very polite. The supplies (towels, humidity control, air conditioning system were super awesome.

Staff come to pick me up at the airport and they even take us to Tomori Beach. On the check out day they also send us back to the airport by private car. Architecture is so modern and clean with Muji style and big room with high ceiling and one sofar and table for normal twin room. Big toilet as well. They have share area with lot of book and long wooden table (so quiet and private and feel so relax)​ Bus stop is infront of the hotel and 5 min walk to nearby beach | Taxi service is besides hotel as well as rental bike shop

Located in central Naze the apartment is close to everything. Parking is just around the corner and a great sushi shop 20m away( Edo Mae sushi) Room is self check-in but there was a helpful staff on site when we arrived. Spacious modern room with large shower and own toilet. Our room was adjacent to the road but not too noisy. Comfortable queen-size mattress on floor with large TV.. Reasonably priced.

This is a hotel where I really felt welcome and everything was perfectly organized from A to Z. The reception helped me organizing a rental car and gave me excellent advices where to go snorkelling and to find turtles which I really did. Snorkelling equipment can be rented as well as bicycles. The breakfast and dinner was simply excellent, every day different with fresh and local dishes. Free airport shuttle was very kind. The room I stayed in the first floor had direct access to outside, was really spacious and the big windows with view to the sea were amazing. I think the hotel management is really investing a lot in staff and resources to make it an excellent stay.

A wonderful place. A great location, a great place to relax and a great place to swim with sea turtles. We saw four sea turtles snorkling at the beach in front of the accommodation. Go here for the views, the apartment, the pool, the sea turtles, and the burgers.

The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful. The property was gorgeous and the view from the room was amazing! Rooms were super spacious and clean. Great location and private beach right outside your room door. Would definitely recommend.

Amami-Oshima is a stunning island and so far (mostly)...

Amami-Oshima is a stunning island and so far (mostly) unheard off by foreign tourists and 'off the beaten track'. There are frequent daily ferries/ships to surrounding islands and on to Kagoshima. If you visit Amami a rental car is a MUST to easily explore the island as any public transport is basically just non-existent, totally infrequent or just very limited geographically. I would suggest no less than 3 full days to explore Amami but 5 would be perfect.

People mostly go to Okinawa looking for amazing beaches, while Amami, that is closer, is still not well-known to non-Japanese people. It is reachable either by flight or by a night ferry from Kagoshima. In Amami you can experience a non-touristy holiday while enjoying nature and stunning beaches. Finding someone speaking English is not easy, as they’re are not so used to having western visitors. However, they’re so friendly that despite any language barriers they will try to engage a conversation with you and help you if needed. A must in your Japan trip!
