The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, with comfortable beds. The location was excellent, and there were free drinks and snacks available downstairs the whole day. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they even provided free bikes to explore the city. I could go on and on about this place!

- good size of the room and bathroom, with some storing spaces; which good for longer stays - nice quality cleaning products offered to customers (shampoo, etc) - good size and great central positioning of the TV (makes it a nice entertainment experience in bed, after a long day) - friendly staff, always smiling and happy to help - good location, close to restaurants, bars or supermarkets and just 20 min walking to Gion neighborhood - nice amenities: liked to have the possibility to get on our own new towels, tea, a vanity kit etc., from the hallway, close to our room, whenever needed - the sustainability focus of the hotel - cleanses standards were great

    A couple of minutes walking from Kyoto station. There's a 7-eleven pretty close. Free toiletries and clean towels every day. I had breakfast one day during my stay and it was a buffet with good variety of food and the food was good. Staff was very nice and helpful all the time. I could use the public bath asking for tattoo covers at reception and were given for free (2 max). The bath area was pretty clean. The laundry room was always taken and some people left their laundry inside the machines but there's one extra washing machine and a tumble dryer inside the men public bath area. If you need coins for the machines, you can ask in reception and they will change your money. There's some soft drinks vending machines if you don't want to go out to the convenience store. They can store your luggage during the day, before check-in and after check-out. They schedule the cleaning of your room (every 3rd day) if you're having a long stay. The information screen on the TV is very helpful.

    1. Friendly staff, extra care of special hygiene, which is very important for visitors. 2. A small room - a single room, but very clean and bright. The windows open onto the road. It’s noisy during the day, but it’s good that they open up, as in other hotels they don’t. In all honesty, it is important. 3. The room has a refrigerator, kettle, hairdryer. 4. Everything is new. 5. The food in the photographs is buffet style, but there are actually two types to choose from at the restaurant. The food and choice are small, but tasty and hearty. 6. What’s even more important is that there is a lot of traffic in the distance - for example, 20 minutes away from the Kyoto station, and on the central street, where there are a very large number of restaurants and supermarkets. If you go straight ahead, you can go to Gion. Hotel is better than Ibis Kyoto Station!

    Good: - Blown away by the view! With mountains and river - Love the toiletries they provided. La Mer shampoo/body soap- i like it! Hair feels smooth and good after. - Spacious and clean room - good location! While its not at right smack at the bustling gion area, i very much preferred the short walk back to hotel. Feels serene. Right below, they have a train station and is sheltered (almost) all the way nishiki market! No worries for rain! - underground area has A LOT of things to shop for. Supermarket, local confectionery, restaurants, clothings - very fast response when contacting them online (via booking.com)

    Wow. This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The rooms were huge, bright and very well stocked. The washer/dryer in the room was a godsend for us as a family with a baby and the bathroom was luxurious with a freestanding bathtub. The staff are very welcoming and downstairs there is a cafe and salad bar all with fresh colourful ingredients. This hotel was 1/3 the price of the more popular family suites chain in Japan but it was every bit as good if not better

    Kyoto is a wonderful places. There are many beautiful shrines here, the natural sightseeing spots are very beautiful also. It's easy and convenient to travel here as there are a lot of buses run from the early morning till late night.

    Miyazu which includes Amanohashidate, is one of three natural sites in Japan. The land bridge spans across the sea is fun to view from the observation points (on both sides) and you can actually bike (20 minutes) or walk (50 minutes) one way across. A small town with lots of charm and beauty.

    The owners were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean! The only confusion was that the description on Booking.com states that breakfast is available, it doesn’t say that you pay extra for it. I also paid for towels. If I understand correctly the coat is then deducted from the room fee but it really wasn’t clear.

    Lots of tourists on holidays but pretty peaceful on normal days. The beach was great but I think they limit the days you can swim. Nice stroll along the sandbar. Amanohashidate is the main thing, there's nothing much to do in Ine aside from taking the boat tour. It's probably best to take the tour that starts from Amanohashidate and goes straight to Ine if you want to save time.

    I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas. If you are sightseeing in Kyoto, Nara, or Osaka for a few days, staying at this facility and using Kameoka as your base will be the best way to travel to Kansai. Like taking a day trip from your home. If your schedule is 2 nights and 3 days or 3 nights and 4 days, it is definitely a good deal even if you add transportation expenses. You can't stay in a house in Kyoto or Nara.

    The city is vibrant, disciplined and culturally very promising. Kyoto showcases the traditional values of Japan, excellent culinary selection coupled with extremely nice, respectful and helpful people.
