The room is spacious and equipped with hot water and air conditioning. The hotel manager Marie was really nice and explained everything to me. In general the whole staff was very welcoming and kind. There were several breakfast options. I really enjoyed the French toast breakfast. Stay here if you‘re going to visit Kep!

JapanVery friendly host. Quiet venue. It is possible to hire a motorbike. They serve breakfast and homemade italian meals. It is very delicious.
It is also possible to make travel arrangements to Vietnam and Bangkok. I really enjoyed the stay there and recommend the Hostel.

Absolutely everything from the Architecture to the big rooms and the services provided by the employees, especially the receptionist, but also the staff at the morning buffet. They were always very attentive which is highly appreciated.
I absolutely recommend the „cliff“ rooms, it‘s worth the money. They are huge and I‘ve never seen a higher ceiling.
I can recommend:
- the tasty morning buffet with amazing views
- the infinity pool with amazing views
- bus service: we reserved the bus to Phnom Penh at the hotel
The flexibility of the staff is exceptional. Moreover, communication was always good. I was informed about anything I needed to know, also through the apps.
I would choose this accommodation again!

I only stayed one night but would have stayed longer. Really lovely owner who was super helpful booking my onward journey to phu quoc. The property was really quiet at night but well lit so you could find your way to your bungalow. Hot shower with good water pressure. Breakfast was great (with proper butter!) and strong coffee. The pool area was great and very spacious. Thanks for having me!

This is THE place to stay in Kep. In my opinion Samanea is one of the best hotels in the world. It has everything you need and more! The staff is exceptional and the atmosphere is magical! You will - for sure - be relaxed and reloaded with energy after a stay there! We will return for sure! PS: Compared with other national hotels Samanea beats them by far :) Sorry

I spend a wonderful night at Knai Bang Chatt, the room was very comfortable, the staff is amazing and helpful.
The food at the Strand restaurant and the beach front restaurant called the Wave as absolutely good.
the Watersport was the right time from October.

Kep tourism has not picked up like in neighboring Vietnam or...
Kep tourism has not picked up like in neighboring Vietnam or Thailand and is probably for slightly more adventurous type of travelers (incl. with kids). Indeed, the city remains very green, airy and offers a truly Cambodian experience. Think crab market with slinging hammocks, mangrove boat trips, secluded pagodas, off grid guesthouses on Rabbit Island (disconnection!), nice dinner by the sea or even a gentle hike in the National Park. Renting motorbikes to visit caves or Kampot nearby are nice add-ons for a longer stay.

Kep was a great day trip for us.
Kep was a great day trip for us. We walked in the National Park, took a dip at the beach, got a beer by the seafront and chilled in a hammock and then got food in the market and a restaurant. We had excellent seafood in the market (squid in pepper sauce for 75c!) and sunset margaritas
Parts of the seafront were totally empty/abandoned - empty lots on the boardwalks. It was quite different to what we had read in guidebooks I think. Perhaps development going on?
We also had quite an aggressive Tuk Tuk driver who had driven us to our accom the night before follow us from point to point during the day who would not stop engaging with us.. even when we said no repeatedly which made us (2 females) quite uncomfortable, especially arranging Tuk Tuk for our next journey. Having travelled to many other countries in SE Asia before, I found this a lot. Be careful.

We spent 2 nights in Kep on the way to the Vietnam border (Ha Tien). Kep was the most chilled, relaxed place I have visited in Cambodia. Fantastic crab restaurants right on the water, but no tourist markets/pressure to buy things. Amazing sunsets over the gulf and islands each day - lovely place to come and do nothing but wonder around, eat great seafood and relax.
