Great area for those interested in traditional Korean chicken and fortresses. We arrived later than and left early, we’d love to come back and walk the fortress! The only problem we had was transportation…the Ubers would not pick us up to take us to our place so we had to figure out the subway and train, which worked, but took all day from Seoul.Guest review byK BrinkUnited States - 6.0
Did not see the city area as it was a business trip.
Did not see the city area as it was a business trip. The lack of breakfast availability ( around 0700) on Saturday morning was disappointing. Seongnam may be good for someone wanting to access Suwon or Namhansanseong Fortress but I would recommend staying in Suwon for Hwaseong Fortress and and travelling to Namhansanseong Fortress from Seoul as a day trip.Guest review byChristineAustralia - 2.0

All the restaurants and bar were supposed to be open till 9.00 PM. The first day I went at 8.15 PM and was told they were closed (all three restaurants). Next day I went at 7.20 PM and was seated but told they would close at 9.00 PM but I was repeatedly approached by the waiters and reminded to finish up as soon as possible. At 8.15 PM they started removing the dishes for the buffet. Room service- the food was delivered COLD! Bad manners of the staff and absolutely pathetic! It's not a five star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Closer to 2-3 starts.Guest review bySikanderUnited States - 2.0

The area yogin is much less friendlier than seoul or inchon areas...even though the area is near to dankook university....the locals are not as friendly as other places in seoul or Incheon areas. This area seems more like a alcoholic area in parts. But overall the hospitality in this area is very low. Alot of anger. Low quality customer service at stores and shops. It was really a bizarre experience in this area Not recommend!!!!. Stay clear of this area. The bus drivers in this area area also more maniac like drivers. Very dangerous and aggressive bus drivers around this areaGuest review byhmmm_GlobetrotterUnited States - 8.0
Nearest larger city from Camp Humphreys.
Nearest larger city from Camp Humphreys. We had little need to go there except for a couple appointments. If you visit Korea, you know taxies are everywhere! We also had experience with the Out of Town Bus Terminal. Easy to get to the terminal and was just a short ride to our hotel.Guest review bySeanUnited States - 10.0

Gapyeong gave us a good respite from the city and a range of weather to enjoy to go along with the views. Gapyeong has loads of options for enjoying art such as the river road arts galleries with cafes we ended up visiting the Koo House Museum a bit down the road. There are lots of cultural foods from the area! As well as some nice roof top terrace river view cafes! Such as RiverWave! I'd recommend trying their bakery dishes we got an apple scone and a maple cream cheese pancake which were both really delightful!Guest review byStultz - 10.0

"Haeli Art Village" is a art gallery version of an amusement park. Lots to do, lots of exhibition halls, art gallerys and art museums as well as tons of book cafes and restaurants. There are art workshops as well as stores that sell anything from trinkets to fine tea. There was also a "Sex museum" which was interesting. There was also a drive-in movie theater nearby which was kind of a surprise. There is also a European themed "Provence Park" which had lots of photo opportunites and a lot of restaurants and cafes.Guest review byS&WBeats4oKUnited States - 10.0
We have been living in Korea for 8 years, in the Incheon...
We have been living in Korea for 8 years, in the Incheon area, meaning that Seoul and Suwon are about 1h drive. While Seoul is a 10-million city that is huge, Suwon has a true city feeling with a 'center' that just feels very city-like from a European perspective. That is why it's our favored place to go for shopping, a city walk, or a weekend trip escaping the otherwise never-ending work pressure. So many 'local' places with good food, which makes the city alive. The center feels 'historic' even with the main palace being a recently-build copy of what once was. So, we have been their many times, and will come in the future. Every season, the city has a different charm.Guest review byStef&MagdaSouth Korea - 10.0

For me, it was a much more "laid back" experience than downtown Seoul (which pleased me) because downtown Seoul was absolutely crazy! lol There were numerous restaurants, a pharmacy, a flower shop and a Starbucks all at the bottom of my daughter's high-rise apartment. And, the train station and bus stop were approximately a 10 minute walk.Guest review byChristianUnited States - 10.0

There were plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance, which was nice. Everyone was kind and helpful. The subway and bus made it super easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. Yongin is outside of Seoul enough to be a little quieter, but close enough to have everything you need and plenty to do. There is an airport limo bus that is super comfortable, so even though it was a bit of a ride to and from the airport, it was an enjoyable one.Guest review byLongUnited States
