Olinda Galle is a small, super charming, very well located hotel just a 20 min from Galle center. The rooms are very spacious and cozy, the baths which were built to incorporate nature are a true privilege experience. The delicious breakfast, served on the terrace area outside of the room is also a highlight . The owner and host is super kind and attentive. Every minute of our stay was truly special. This property including the staff is a true Sri Lankan gem. From the moment you step into this hotel, you immediately know that it's unlike any place you've ever been before. The roundhouse concept is genius as it provides 360 degrees of uninterrupted views of the area. I'd hate to describe the place much more because you must see it for yourself. It's a place worth the attention of Architectural Digest! The infinity pool is the highlight. With only a limited number of rooms available, you'll never find yourself crowded in the pool hence it feels almost like a private pool, which it did during our stay as we used it thrice and every single time we were the only ones in the pool. I have rated this the most serene common pool I've been lucky to take a dip in. The food is also excellent here, which you have to pick from the a la carte menu. The breakfast with the stunning morning view was the icing on the cake. Kasun is an excellent manager and a wonderful host. He along with his team comprising of the Jack of all trades, Tharaka made our stay super convenient and memorable.

We got that hotel for a very good price and were really happy about the hotel although the reviews were mixed. Although the hotel is little bit old, they keep an eye on cleanliness and perfect service! Outstanding are the - staff service - most comfortable bed and pillows (like heaven!) Really good are - food - very clean (although the hotel is a little older) - pool During that time of the year, the beach in front of the hotel is not suitable for swimming. However, just a 5 minutes walk, there is a beach you can also swim during monsoon season. Definitely worth the money we spend!

The pool was gorgeous and so much fun, and the tour around the plantation was great and very interesting - my little boy (aged 10) loved it. Our room was amazing, an upstairs room with a mezzanine floor and a window that looked out onto jungle - we saw black monkeys there, as well as elsewhere on the site, and there were so many kingfishers! (A couple of our wildlife shots from the site are added here.) The staff, like everyone in Sri Lanka, were all beautiful people who always went out of their way to help you. We will definitely return!

First off the staff were super friendly and inviting. Smooth check in process and an oil lamp lighting was done before moving into the rooms. Room was super spacious, clean and comfortable with close access to the bar, pool area and beach area. Swimming pool and other facilities such as the gym was well maintained. Staff were always attentive and helpful at all times and in all areas around the property. There was a good spread of food at the buffet and an alternative A la carte menu as well. 100% recommended ✅️

Great location with beach views and only short stroll into town. Staff were exceptional, we were always greeted with a hello and smile whenever we passed them. Breakfast was great with a freshly cooked egg chef who cooked the most delicious omelets, he always had a big smile on his face and took pride in his craft. They also have 2x wheelchair accessible rooms available and ramps to all areas of the resort which is a standout feature. Looking forward to coming back next year!

I enjoyed my stay in Galle.

I enjoyed my stay in Galle. The place was very clean and the environment was relaxing. It’s a good location to explore the city and enjoy the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the beds were a bit old and already broken, so it wasn’t very comfortable. If they fix that, it would be a much better stay. Overall, a nice experience and good value.

Its a fantastic place, just at the beach and well planned hotel, pools, beach, restaurants, bars, lobbys are equally catering to customer service points. We had our best hotel experience at Araliya Unawatuna. Even met the owner and had a generous chat during breakfast which is so touching and personalized service standard I believe. Easy to visit Galle Fort, just a walk to the golden sandy beaches. Staff from top management to the ground staff is well trained to give excellent customer care. We specially thanking to our 7th flour room service staff who simply helped us in technical support, bars and restaurant staff and Nethmi & Dakshika and all wonderful reception staff memebers.

Hikkaduwa is one of the best tourist beach spots with...

Hikkaduwa is one of the best tourist beach spots with friendly and helpful local people. The weather is cool even though we had some rain, but we stayed at the villa on the balcony watching people fishing kayaking and canoeing down the River. The beach area has some unique fresh seafood restaurants, surfing, snorkeling and you can even rent out glass-bottomed boat to see underwater world. There is also a Turtle Hatchery here and Tsunami museum for tourists. Beach is very clean.

Ahangama is so peaceful - it's slightly away from the busier areas around the coast. The restaurants around are in great locations, and all very calm with great vibes. It's also very easy and quick to get to neighbouring towns to visit sites, or restaurants in those locations as well.

Great beach with very few people.

Great beach with very few people. Not suitable for swimming as the current is very strong. Also, as a solo female traveller, because there are so few people on the beach it is advisable to be extra cautious. One morning when I was walking by myself, there was a man in the bushes who exposed himself to me (intentionally). So use caution.

Great beach, we felt like Robinson Crusoe on the beach, almost just the 2 of us. Visiting Mahdu Lake at 6 a.m. watching the sun goes up. A natural paradise with a lot of birds and other animals. Listening to their different noises. Dining at the Mangrove Cave Restaurant we enjoyed freshest seafood. It was just very tasty.

My favourite place was the turtle hatchery. Most meals were eaten at the Hotel. Very easy to get around. There is a tour agency opposite the hotel entrance, it cant get any better than that. It is easy to take tuk tuk or van taxis. Superior beach front view. Beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Well done to the management and staff for this top class facility. Local fishermen were easy to approach and social chat with.
