Lots of building works. In 5 - 10 years this place will be like the Bali of Morrocco. Some really nice chilled cafes and restaurants, some attached to hotels. There are some great surf spots within a short drive and good value restaurants. Beyond this, there is not much to do. The neighboured seems safe though is a little dirty. There are some very friendly locals though it feels like most just want to make money out of you rather than have a genuine interaction. Riad was authentic Moroccan style. Loved being there. Ocean was close by - about 7 minutes walk - and we loved being on the beach and hearing the sound of the waves. Guided hiking was great and we enjoyed bartering in the souk in Agadir. We visited a women's collective on our way to the anti Atlas with great organic oils and an educational tour of the gardens. That was fabulous - no pushy selling. We ate mainly in the hotel but there were many good places to eat inexpensively near by. Getting around was easy - taxi for us. Beautiful location by the sea, but our hotel experience was a disaster. Suite smelled of sewage for days, complaints were ignored. Only after three days were we moved. Very good spot for surfing, but keep in mind, that this is a village, and facilities there are limited. You have several restaurants, some shops (food, everyday necessities, souvenirs and surf stuff), surf rentals, a pharmacy, one doctor, one Western Union office and that's it. Pharmacy and one of the restaurants take cards for payment, the rest is cash only - make sure you bring enough with you.
