The whole property is beautifully decorated. Our room was exceptionally clean and well attended to. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much and we never had to lift a finger during breakfast lunch or dinner. The food was of very high quality, we loved each dish. It was the perfect detox and location to kick start our honeymoon in Mauritius. thank you!

C Mauritius is just a fantastic place. It's extremely difficult do find one thing that stands out but I'll say staff and food. Staff is just incredibly helpful and polite and have the right measure between being there for you and not being in your way. Food is incredible, the range of food choices is just out of this world.

    Our stay in this hotel was perfect from the very beginning. As we arrived the stuff welcomed us very friendly, we got an delicious welcome-drink. The hotel and it’s area are great, with charm, super concept. rooms are spacious and nice with some suprises :) they are daily cleaned (actually twice a day), house-keeping team is helpfull and friendly. Restaurant, library with multi-languague books, albums and some games, little butique - everything lovely. The view is so beautiful, you can enjoy your meals in restaurant and adore the ocean-view. Beach ist quiet, the hotel offers some free attractions (kayak, SUB-board, snorkeling, glassboat) - the guys in a stuff are always helpful :) Restaurant ist special, menu is so delicious, we loved a food! But! What makes it so special? Stuff. You feel like you spend time with your best friends, Team is so warm, always smiling! Thank you for this special time - Sanjay, Med, Vidusha, Sarika, Bhishay, Rajiv, Kheertee and all Others. You were all amazing, you made our stay in Mauritius special.     This plase is fantastic. The room was big, well equiped and very clean. But the heart of this hotel is a restaurant. Breakfasts were delicious and plenty to choose from. Dinners were beyond anything I expected. I highly recommend taking halfboard, since the dinners are truly worth the extra cost. I must also say that we were all very impressed by the proffesional and super kind staff. They are very friendly and always checking on your comfort. Even the location of this resort is perfect. They have a boat that takes you on a lovely beach on a nearby island. It's magical. If you travel with teenagers make sure you book a family golf lesson for beginners. First hour is gratis and then if you like it you can book extra lessons. Lots of fun and a great laugh!

    Very warm welcome from the reception team especially from Deepak who walked us to our room and was always helpful to sort any minor issues to ensure a stress free vacation.Bar staff very helpful and cheerful especially Aza who was very popular with all the guests. Housekeeping was superb throughout our stay with Visambal creating birthday and bedroom floral displays. The food was of the highest quality and choice throughout our stay with great service provided by all staff .

    We loved our stay. Gan, Darryl and Sara at the pool bar, Samia at the breakfast were so nice to us and did everything for us to feel happy. Ashvin arranged birthday song for our daughters for evening live music session. The resort is spaceful, rooms are nice and there are plentiful activities. We couldnt explore the beach because of the wind but the time by the pool was great.

    La Koquillishe is located between two excellent restaurants : La Case a Poisson and Tino's which have incredible food for reasonable prices. Not to be missed. Also, La Koquillishe has a taxi service which is extremely efficient and correctly priced. Ask for Patrick.

    Our stay at the Bubble Lodge Resort for 2 nights (Lake & sea view Bubble). Mukesh and Nevin where my favourite staff and made our stay extra special to us - we felt very much welcomed: they are outstanding naturally nice. Great employees, great service! We will love to come back some other time :)

    Grand Sable is more of a location you drive through rather than a place to stay. It’s a nice place to see and stop to take pictures as you drive through but not really a place to stay for any length of time except maybe one night. The name sounds like there should a beach here but there is not.

    No restaurants within walking distance. therefore have to bring all your food to villa. Public transport infrequent and no designated timetable for buses, own transport or expensive taxis required. Location was quiet and relaxing.

    A bit beaten town, lots of drunks and abandoned houses. There are some nice restaurants around (Chez Tino, Green Island Beach Restaurant) and places to visit (Île aux Cerfs, GRSE waterfall), but overall not to stay for too long.

    My wife and I were stopping over in Mauritius on route to...

    My wife and I were stopping over in Mauritius on route to Perth, Australia. We booked for three nights but could only stay for one night as Air Mauritius rescheduled our connecting flight for two days earlier, so we only had the one night. We only managed to do a short drive around the following morning and the local area was very quite with only a couple of large resorts nearby and one small supermarket. We did not get to visit the nearby large market in Central Flacq. The drive from the airport was aproximately 1 hour 15 minutes. We then had to drive back the following evening to the airport. Night driving in Mauritius was difficult and slow going so for a one night stay it is not worth it. This part of the island (East) is also very windy, although we found it a warm wind so it was not to bad, even by the pool. The complex is good for a quiet few days or week, but not suitable for those who like a lot going on nearby.

    Belle Mare is a quieter resort as most of the coastline are hotels and a golf course without much else. So if you are looking for a resort with facilities ie shops / bars & restaurants outside of your hotel there isn't much within walking distance there is hardly anything. If you have a car Flacq is a 15 min drive away with the Market and Supermarket. The beach is quiet and beautiful.
