The buffet breakfast was plentiful. The chef did an excellent job grilling the fish from our sunset fishing trip for our dinner - it was delicious! Best meal of our week.

United Arab Emiratesi would definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay, brilliant communication from shaheen and yoosef before my trip with all information regarding excursions, and what to expect coming to a local island. they made everything easy to book in and supporting us each day with great excursions, i recommend all of the excursions!! we saw manta rays, sting rays, nurse sharks, we did lots of snorkling, (they have flippers and masks there if needed and life jackets so i didnt feel scared on any excursion! they also used their go pro to film some cool videos and shared them for free, very nice) you can tell the captains on the excursions look make a big effort to find the sea creatures and to go out on the sea and that we are safe there! thank you again!!
the hotel booked the speed boat transfer and made it easy. they have an option to rent a motorcycle which we did to get around the island quickly, we enjoyed going to the sandbank and watching the sunset. they have a restaurant on site, food was limited due to availability on the island which is normal, every meal was good, and they suggested many places to go around the island, we like the tea pot restaurant, absolute thai and aveli. all staff are lovely, from the kind guy who cleaned our rooms everyday to the guys in the restaurant, and again special thank you to shaheen and yoosef.
they also made a special moment on our first day, by decorating the bed and bringing out a birthday cake for my boyfriend on the first day which just started our holiday in a beautiful way. thank you guys!!

The hotel is on the beach and only a couple of minutes walk to the bikini beach.
The food was good, breakfast and evening meal was slightly different every day. All of the staff provided quick service and kept an eye if you ever needed anything.

SloveniaExcellent stay. The host is very responsive and takes care of everything. He helped us with the transfer from the airport and then to the guesthouse. Also helped us book an excursion and was generally always ready to help. They even prepared us warm breakfast on the day of the excursion when we would miss the breakfast at the guesthouse. The guesthouse is lovely, has everything you need. They provide adapters, drinking water, rack to dry clothes, good wifi, you can rent bikes… everything. The breakfast has large portions. Also the location is good, close to the beach and to some restaurants. Our stay at Thoddoo was great!

United KingdomFrom the start everything was super, communication with people before we traveled, they organised transfer for us, greeted us with nice refreshing drinks and gave us all useful information. We had room on the ground floor that looked at the bikini beach and sea. On the white sandy beach we had beach beds and table and chairs. Now about the sea (well ocean)…crystal clear water and part where you can swim and house reef where you can snorkel and see amazing colourful fish.
Staff was amazing (I am terrible with names), but every single member of staff was friendly and polite, from our waiter, Sri Lankan chef, hotel manager…everyone. They organised trips for us. Out of many different trips we chose 3. We had Dolphin Safari where we saw 100’s of dolphins and took amazing photos and videos. Then we had snorkelling trip to see turtles and again we took some great pics and videos. Our guide even took my GoPro and filmed us swimming with turtles. Unforgettable experience! We also had Night Fishing trip, where we caught many fishes, like tuna, barracuda, red snapper etc. Then they prepared most amazing beach dinner with our catch.
In the restaurant you have a choice between continental breakfast and local one (many times we had both of them). Also you can eat pancakes with various toppings and there was always cold juice and water. For dinner you have different choices, like various soups to start with, then various curries, rice and noodle dishes, fish, various ways of chicken, pizzas, burgers…and desert at the end. We were very happy with food.
I can highly recommend Belmars Beach and will definitely come back at some point, as we had a brilliant time there.

Food:
Reefs Buffet Restaurant
Amazing choices of food during Breakfast and Dinner, from freshly made eggs to Maldivian Mas Huni, from Müsli to Thai noodles - all what you get is freshly made on the island and tastes really well. Fresh fruits, fresh juices, croissant’s, dark bread and a wide variety for kids.
Special food choices during the stay were: Thai Street Food Festival, Barbecue Buffet, Seafood Buffet. There are 2 restaurants as well - one for Thai Food, one for Italian food. All choices are very good and tasty.
Kids Club:
Our tiny little lady loved the Kids Club and the friendly staff. A huge ball bed with a slider insider, as well a kids kitchen, books, lego - everything a toddler can have fun with. The outside area is great as well - a huge slider and swings as well. Lot‘s of activities during the stay (every day something new).
Housereef snorkeling:
Lots if fishes to see - I saw some bigger sharks (black tip, white tip, grey reef shark and nurse sharks) and some stingrays - all are very close but friendly. The corals are great - lots of other creatures as well (Tuna, reef fishes, snapper, Octopus, Calmar …).
Turtles are there as well and you can spot them around the island. I saw an eagle ray as well. During the whale shark trip, happily we saw a 11-meter one ☺️ amazing. But there is no guarantee to see them.
Gym
Well equipped with basic machines and free weights, cross trainer and treadmill. All are in good shape. Some daily activities you can join (stretching, HiiT, Yoga). Cold water and cold towels are there as well.
Bungalow
Well equipped and comfortable with great room service. Calm see in front of the bungalow and a nice privacy. It is a 2 floor building with a fan, day bed, air conditioning and inside and outside shower.
Bars
The Coral and Aqua bar are different.

We returned to Gangehi Island Resort after spending our honeymoon here ten years ago — and honestly, it felt like coming home. Very little has changed, which we mean as a huge compliment. The same peaceful atmosphere, the same warm smiles, the same effortless kindness from everyone on the island.
The resort still keeps its original Maldivian charm — natural, simple, and beautifully laid-back. The tropical vegetation is lush, and the sea is that unreal shade of blue with amazing coral just off the beach. We spotted reef sharks, rays, and even sea turtles while snorkeling.
The weather was a bit mixed during our stay, but that’s part of island life — and the staff made up for it in every way. Giorgio, the General Manager, surprised us with a complimentary upgrade from half board to full board — such a generous touch, thank you!
The restaurant buffet is uncomplicated but always delicious, mostly fish-based, freshly prepared and served with genuine warmth. The dessert corner deserves a special mention — fresh tropical fruits and homemade ice cream every day.
The spa offers excellent massages, and our excursion (even with rough sea) was great fun with beautiful snorkeling spots. The romantic dinner at sunset, with our own waiter and chef, was truly unforgettable — especially the aperitivo at the overwater restaurant.
In short, Gangehi remains an authentic Maldivian gem — friendly, relaxed, and made for pure relaxation. We loved every minute and will surely be back again.

The house reef really worth to go and see there for: it's just few steps from the shore with many fishes, live corals, anemone fishes (clownfishes), baby sharks, some sea turtles. We were even lucky to see one Manta. We enjoyed free snorkelling equipment. Only be aware that there are always strong currents arround the island, but we thought they are pretty safe. Besides - water sport instructors organize a free snorrkeling guide twice a day. We enjoyed a very good soundproof of the water villa, even on strong wind / waves day / night. The food is always fresh and tasty. The wi-fi is pretty good. We didn' lock the door of our water villa - we felt very safe there. We enjoyed a Vertical reef and Coral garden excursion - highly recommended. There is some very good vibe on this island which you can't love. It's not a cheap resort, but it's worth 100%. Some day we'll come back :)

The staff, the food, the new marine biologist and the house reef. The new marine biologist Alaina is amazing. She goes out weekly to clean the cages for the fish. I think it is because of her that the house reef is teeming with life!
I wasn't a fan of the beach villa because ours had a musty smell. But we were moved to the sand villa and it was perfect! That is really the only complaint I have of the resort. Mangela and I am so sorry, I forget the name of our friend who is the office manager...they helped us with the room change and checked on us daily to make sure we were happy.

Small privat beach at deluxxe beach villa realy give you feeling of your own small paradise in the midle of indian ocean. Clean and comfortable space and egzotic sound of silence inside and outside, with moustly inisible but always smilenig staf in atmosphere of small green tropical haven make you feel very peacefull and relaxed. Coral Reef was amazing and still intact, which is very rare to find ina maldivian resort for the price. I personally recomend the Vila exursion tour for snorkeling with whale sharks and mantas. we stayed in the garden villas which is the cheapest solution and enables the entry to the second tier restaurant. food and service where still very good but if you prefer a more luxurious placement i definately recomment the beach villa or water villas.

Had an amazaing stay at Lilys. The island’s house reef is amazing! We snorkeled with colorful fishes and reef sharks. The island itself is lush and feels like a tropical paradise.
The buffet in the evening was great. The food was fantastic at Vibes and Aqua.
All the staff they are amazing and will take care of you. As a cocktail lover, I was impressed—every drink was perfectly prepared!

Luxury Resort. We liked absolutely everything. The holiday is organised at the highest level. Very friendly and professional staff. The food is beyond praise: the cooks are great. High quality Himeyn SPA salon: Interesting diving center. Special thanks to: personal assistant Minha, masseur Suari, head of diving center Khalid. We will definitely try to visit this Resort again.

We will definitely visit this island time and time again as they made our Honeymoon the most special vacation and treated us with special attention.

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. There's a lot of nice restaurants and there was no day I felt bored.

Great Island, plenty to do and good snorkelling straight off Villa. Food, people and facilitiies were great - cannot fault. Deluxe water villas were a bit tired and really need a refurbishment - other than that great time in Kuramathi...

It is a small enough island to walk around.
It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello.
There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food.
There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists.
We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. They are professional and friendly.

You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than...
You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways.
Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants.
Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type.
Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out.
Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got.
Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there...
It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there was disappointing compared to my previous trips in other resorts. The quality of service is poor and it’s a shame because the resort is lovely and the staff are nice but lack professionalism.

A Wonderful Beach Holiday. Necessary structure: shops and cafes are available. The ability to pay with a bank card, as well as in cash (USD, MVR). Good exchange rate in all places. I was pleased with both Mathiveri and Mathiveri Finholu: the beaches are clean, the sand does not burn your feet, and there is a comfortable "coolness" in the shade of the trees.

Feridhoo is an island inhabited by locals. They are Muslims, so respect them and wear decent clothes when walking through the village. The island has 2 restaurants with good food and fair prices, one dive base (Noohiri) and one small shop next to Shifa Lodge. We came for diving and found an abundant maritime life. There are 2 beach areas, one at the east side with the best snorkeling ground, the other at north/west side with berths for relaxing.

We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄
The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. I don’t recommend the visit to the local island, nothing to see there
