- From US$77.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 29 reviewsAddu, the southernmost atoll of Maldives and the only one across the equator is a special place to visit. And it’s made doubly special by 3S and its awesome staff. Mr. Atheef, the ever pleasant and helpful manager and his staff will do everything possible in their capacity to make your visit special. 3S overlooked a small strip of beach which has now been extended which makes those special night strolls under starry skies memorable. The rooms are impeccable and the in house dining caters to every taste. Where the beach ends, the snorkeling begins and we saw some very awesome sea life including manta rays and turtle not to mention the colorful reef fish. And where the snorkeling ends, the private island of Hajara, walkable to, across the reef during low tide, will make the holiday an affair to remember. Mr. Atheef and team setup an umbrella with tables and chairs and brought in food and drinks for our own Maldivian picnic on that island. Snorkels, Bikes and canoes were supplied as and when needed. He also organized a trip to Addu park and Koattey beach, a must visit site on the north of the atoll. By the way this is the only island where a long 15 km road connects the various islands of the atoll. But he took it one more level up by organizing a special trip to the southernmost end of the island which needs special permission and escort vehicles to get to that place. Literally called Southernmost point, it’s the last point at the southern end of Maldives. A truly magical place. Finally he rounded it off with a dolphin watching trip on one of the Dhonis. A must do adventure and more fun if the sea is choppy. Overall the stay at 3S and the experience was one of the best trips I’ve taken ever.Guest review byDavisQatar

- From US$56.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 5 reviewsMeedhoo Island is very clean, with a friendly community. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as scuba diving, snorkeling, and fishing. Additionally, there are two beautiful resorts located right next to Meedhoo in the same lagoon, which I visit whenever I feel like it. The entrance fee is just a few dollars, making it very accessible. I recommend staying in Meedhoo for a budget-friendly experience while also enjoying the luxury of Maldives resorts.Guest review byFarhadMaldives

This was my second time photographing Tiger Sharks here, and it’s truly an incredible location. However, if you're not a diver, I wouldn’t recommend it—it doesn’t have a proper sandy beach and lacks the luxury feel of other atolls. This place is all about the diving.Guest review bySZABOLCSAustralia - 10.0

A residential area, interesting, with ordinary people, not an artificial spot for tourists. Some highlights: Addu Dive, a wonderful dive centre with their boat leaving from the local harbor, with the centre itself on neighboring island, over the bridge. Palm Village Restaurant with a variety of local and other meals. The inner atoll shore may look unsuspicious until having a look under the water - with a multitude of coral, fish, and at times turtles. Ideal for snorkeling.Guest review byTomasCzech Republic - 10.0

Amazing for pelagic diving with Tiger sharks.
Amazing for pelagic diving with Tiger sharks. Locals are friendly and accommodating. You do need a bike/cycle to get around, but it is easy to get a hold of one. Not much available activity wise other than a few historic places with little info and diving. Snorkelling is very hard in some seasons due to the waves. There is also no bikini beach, so sunbathing is a no go on this island. Overall, if diving is your passion, this is a great island.Guest review byjazzjafferUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The staff were very kind, hospitable and helpful.
The staff were very kind, hospitable and helpful. The hotel has an extensive and varied menu of food and drink. The food is delicious. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable with verandahs overlooking the beach and sea. The views of the sea and islands in the distance were beautiful. The lagoon provides excellent swimming and bathing. The return flight was in the evening and the hotel allowed us a late check out at no extra cost which was greatly appreciated. The arrival flight to the hotel was changed to 4 hours later and we were not informed until we arrived at the airport. The hotel needs to work with a more reliable airline. The fans in the restaurant and bar are too few in number and too high up to have any effect. There need to be many more fans lower down from the ceilings to cool the restaurant and bar. The internet also needs to be stronger.Guest review byHarshaSri Lanka - 10.0
For shark lovers, this is the place to go!!
For shark lovers, this is the place to go!! But it's also nice to just drive around by bike, along the beach front. Knowing already several Maldivian tourist islands, it was my first time on a real local island and I wasn't well prepared and therefore a bit surprised about how strict the moslim rules are. Women better cover up if you don't want to be starred at or getting hateful comments. And you'll wake up every night because of the prayer! Due to their prayers, opening hours of the stores are somewhat unusual (they open and close many times a day - during prayer everything is closed) Note, no alcohol on this island (found beer without alcool in one of the shops). The local hospital is very good, pharmacy services also. There's a local artist who paint sharks, mantas etc directly on your dive suit, there's no better souvenir than this. (or on your T-Shirt). He has a little shop on the way to the harbour.Guest review byIlonaSwitzerland - 10.0

Space, cleanliness of the island, ideal for photos, ideal for snorkeling sorties by boat to see breath-taking, pristine coral gardens of great diversity unseen in North atolls. No nearby house reef, but you don't miss that.Guest review byAbdelazizSwitzerland
