To our host Shrea, who I just couldn’t speak more highly of, not only for everything she did to make our stay easy, stress free and memorable, always with the nicest of smiles and a beautiful nature, but more importantly for the truly special relationship she built with our son. He absolutely adored her, would run to her if he saw her near by and wouldn’t want to let her go. Would call her name around the resort, and just couldn’t wait to see her. Shrea would also go to the kids club to see him whenever she could, a friendship that was magical to watch!
To all the amazing people at the reception, that were always happy, helpful and were super patient, as our toddler would try to get into the back office to say hello to everyone, all the time. Shout to Cynthia, who was another of our son’s favourite ppl!
To the two beautiful ladies at the Bageecha restaurant that greet you morning, day and night with the most genuine and warmth of smiles, setting you up to have a great day. To the countless waiters and all round stuff at the restaurant, who are constantly going above and beyond, and were a life saver entertaining our toddler at meal times, and even offered to make different food for him.
To the man that looked after our villa’s housekeeping, going above and beyond making sure our villa was clean, comfortable and restocked.
To the Araamu spa staff, who run a beautiful spa with super talented masseuses, we had 2 couples massages and are the best we have had to date. Also shout out to the beautiful lady that seats near reception where you can book the spa treatments, always happy, smiling and genuinely interested in knowing how your stay is going.
To Joyce, the baby sitter that looked after our toddler a few hours every day, that took him on many buggy rides (a highlight of his trip) and to the entire team at the Wavy Navy kid’s club, my son would literally run from our villa to the kids club, so excited to go there.

We had a great time at this wonderful resort. It is only some 45 mins by boat from Male. The staff are extremely kind and courteous. The team responsible for sea excursions is very informative and helpful. The restaurant provides a great variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were booked at half board and there were plenty of options to have a snack during the day at very reasonable prices. The room had all the needed amenities and was cleaned twice a day. Each room had its allocated sun beds in an idyllic environment. It takes around 15/20 minutes to walk around the island to see nature at its best. The sea immediately around this island is already beautiful to swim in and snorkel. The excursions to nearby reefs add to the experience of seeing turtles, mantas, harmless nurse sharks and all kinds of colourful fish (some of which can be seen in the vicinity of the hotel) . The island is very welcoming, well kept and very clean. A place to revisit time and time again.

Our stay at Arena Beach was fantastic! We enjoyed the location right on the beach and both the breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious.😋
However, the fantastic service provided by Reena was particularly memorable and made our stay unforgettable. As it was my boyfriend's birthday, I wanted to plan a little surprise. Reena immediately offered me her help, suggested ideas on her own and implemented them as agreed. The organization behind it was seamless and all the work she did, even outside of her working hours, was incredible. Because of her, we had an unforgettable evening, with great food, a delicious cake and beautiful decorations in our room.🥰🎂🫶🏼
It just goes to show how much effort the staff put into making sure guests have a great stay. We would recommend it to anyone!😄

All inclusive package is great especially if you like a drink or two. The property is incredible with great beaches and great pools including an adults on pool. The staff are all incredible and very friendly and willing to assist with anything you may need however as everything appears to be thought prior to our arrival, I never needed to ask for anything! A special shout out to Aaish AKA Mr Amazing who made our welcome an amazing experience and sorted us an amazing upgrade for our Honeymoon. He was always interested in what we were doing and always up for a conversation which made the stay even more special than we could have imagined.

Thank you for fast and smooth boat transfer, did’t have to wait at Male airport. Also thank you for early check-in so we could enjoy the holiday as soon as possible (this is the thing that is not usually available in hotels).
We got villa 181 with beautiful sand beach and view with sea and palms. Not windy, calm & clear water.
The island has about 15 beaches, explored them all by bicycle or walk. The beaches were really beautiful.
Delicious food at breakfast and Rhabarbaro restaurant for dinner. Especially like breakfast buffet with choice of a la carte menu.

Everything from the food, to the activities, to the setting were great. From the moment we landed, the hotel was attentive in getting us and bringing us to the island quickly and efficiently. The staff were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Everybody was responsive and we loved all the bars we visited. We loved the activities and snorkeling. The accommodation was incredible and the staff attended to everything we needed.

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced.
One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there.
Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in...
I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement.
The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)!
Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!).
I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive!
Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus.
Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!

Gulhi exuded a lot of the island vibes when we compared to our stay in Male and Ulkuhas. It didn't have too much construction ongoing so it wasn't that noisy with minimal debris going around. The beaches are really nice to walk around and lie around too. Snorkelling here is fun too since the shallow parts extend quite a distance before it goes into the coral reef cliff. Excursions here are nice as well since you get to experience snorkelling with nurse sharks, stingrays, and manta rays. Mantas of course are by luck where was the former are usually attracted via feeding. Food-wise, Dolce Vita is a mut-go since the chef is really good (would suggest local dishes, naan+butter chicken, noodles,), price is reasonable, ambience is perfect, and they do not charge any additional fee at all for card payments!

Guraidhoo - ferry every day and easy to reach from Male, not so busy yet, not yet ugly concrete big buildings, bikini beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. White soft sand with turquoise warm water and sandy shore for fantastic swimming and walking on the sandbar - great for kids too, sunbeds and good cafe on the beach, there are corals and ship wreck for snorkeling and not to forget the shark feeding place - simply amazing to watch sharks and rays - great entertainment for the evening. There are great restaurants with fantastic prices. This island is amazing choice !

It was a lovely island friendly people & I think I stayed in the best place for me on this island my host were fantastic, they could not of done more to make my stay any better than it already was 10/10 perfect 😍
I loved all the food I had @ Indian cafe,loved swimming @ the local beach, not bikini beach
One thing I really disliked was Moscow yeda they tried to double charge me on my credit card when I asked them about 6 of them just started laughing, eventually I got my money back & that was the only bad experience on the whole island.
