- From US$372 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.3Good - What previous guests thought, 1,159 reviewsWe arrived late after spending most of our day at the airport and without our luggage, The staff were friendly and helpful, We were worn out from the worst travel experience with Delta airlines (don’t fly Delta) everything that could go wrong did go wrong with that airline from booking in the beginning to theft from my luggage at the end, three nights after my flight and I still don’t have a reasonable answer from them about my stolen items, one of which was a tracking device… The stupidest theft on the planet! We woke up slightly refreshed and found we had our own private infinity pool that overlooked the beautiful blue of the ocean, we didn’t have any clothes or swimmers and the staff helped to direct us to the nearest mall, sadly nothing was open though but we were lucky to find a couple of shops nearby that had some suitable clothing items, so we headed back to the room which was clean and comfortable and because our luggage still hadn’t arrived and would not until our next hotel, the staff were kind enough to allow us a late check out of 1pm while we waited, so we soaked up more of the sun and crystal water while we waited for our luggage and to check out. Lovely buffet breakfast, traditional Mexican food and reasonable prices. lots of vegetables and after spending two weeks in America and not having enough Vegetables due to all the junk food everywhere, I was stoked to get a good fill of fruit and veggies to start the day right!Guest review byKatherine-BetteAustralia
- From US$325.65 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 3,003 reviewsStaff and the hotel were great, and I couldn't say I could find any issues after reading a few less favourable reviews.. Rooms are a good size and very clean and cool. Also well serviced by friendly staff.. I got to the hotel long before my check-in time, and my luggage was looked after while I relaxed in the pool area. I then was offered a room way before my time, and I was not disappointed, infact I may have been quietly given an upgrade. To me, that was staff going above and beyond to make me feel welcome.. There's a small shop for basics, etc, or pharmacy next to the hotel. Compared to more expensive hotels around it depends on your budget but for price this was good for what you really need..Guest review byVernonAustralia

Mid-September and the weather was unbelievably awful. 100 degrees and 98% humidity. I definitely came at the wrong time of the year. This place is party central; if you're not a partier, I'd suggest staying someplace closer to what you enjoy; if you're a diver, I'd suggest Puerto Vallarta. If you're into archeology, I'd suggest Playa del Carmen. But if you're a newlywed and only into partying and booze, this is your place.Guest review byJenniferUnited States - 10.0

We love this hotel. Just a short walk to a fantastic beach. They let us borrow two folding beach chairs and they supply beach towels. We stayed in Apartment #7. It was quite large, amply cooking supplies in the kitchen, clean and comfortable. We will return.Guest review byJonathanUnited States - 2.0

As a family with tweens we did not enjoy Tulum & will not be back. The kids were not allowed many places/ restaurants. Algea covered the beach (it was july), the restaurants were priced higher than where we live but the quality of the food was poor. If you are a family I would skip and go elsewhere. The cenotes in the reason are awesome!Guest review byCaralynUnited States - 2.0
Small town with terrible infrastructure.
Small town with terrible infrastructure. It is a shame to keep it in misery conditions with the loads of money brought by tourists, mostly foreigners happily walking in mud, dirty water ponds, as they walk in the luxurious boutiques owned by other foreigners. You may find amazing nature in many other Mexican destinations in better living conditions.Guest review byalejandrortizMexico - 8.0

I enjoyed the natural beauty of the areas outside the touristy downtown area. I rented a scooter and drove the entire perimeter of the island (about 2 hours around without stops), but there are a few sightseeing locations, so plan a bit more time. I was there to go scuba diving and it did not disappoint. Once you get out of the touristy areas Cozumel is basically a rundown Caribbean island with not much to offer.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10.0

My FAVORITE cenotes were at Sac Actun and Ecopark Kantun Chi. Sac Actun requires a guide, but it's not as expensive as some of the other places. The cenote is beautiful and they provide you with wetsuits (which helps a LOT with the cold) and goggles. It was a very cool experience. Ecopark Kantun Chi has 5 cenotes but we bought the entrance that allows you to go 4 of them without a guide. For us, this was perfect because we could spend as much time as we wanted at each spot and they were all so different and beautiful. I loved #3, which was an open sky cenote with a waterfall and #4, which was a really cool cave with spots where the sunlight streamed in from above. We got to see some lobsters there too. Also a very cool feature is that there are kayaks in several of the cenotes so you get to explore them that way as well. Another cool spot was Languna Yal Ku where we got to snorkel in calm water and see so many different types of fish. I highly recommend wearing clothing that covers your arms and legs since sunscreen isn't permitted and you are directly exposed to the sun the whole time. For meals, we enjoyed traveling to both Akumal Pueblo (for some simple and cheaper meals) and Akumal Playa on the other side of the road for some more variety.Guest review byNatasha
