Great service from staff. Staff was very welcoming and gave detailed attention. Requested for connecting rooms and reservations were made for us. Great atmosphere can be expected from HR. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of Malaysian breakfasts .Lovely place for kids as they has HR mascot interacting with kids during breakfast. Rooms were super clean and well arranged. Beds were very comfortable.

Johor: Malaysia's Gateway State

Johor, a Malaysian state and continental Asia’s southernmost point, is often referred to as the southern gateway to its more illustrious powerhouse across the Johor Strait – economic giant Singapore. Used mainly as a transit point, there are some hidden gems waiting to be discovered.

Malaysia’s 2nd largest city is vibrant Johor Bahru, also known as JB. Apart from being a processing point for the large numbers of tourists via the Johor-Singapore Causeway, it is also an important industrial and commercial centre and enjoys a lively nightlife scene.

The story gets far more interesting in places like the Endau Rompin National Park where jungle trekking is popular. Indigenous tribes, endangered species and some of Malaysia’s most wonderful waterfalls are part of one of the world’s oldest rainforest regions.

If you are tired of overcrowded beach resorts fretting over the international tourist dollar, then quiet and charming Desaru offers some relief on the east coast of Johor state. There are no roads on the island and the whole area is a marine park with spectacular diving.

Senai International Airport is a great alternative for regional flights compared to Kuala Lumpur International and Singapore’s Changi Airport. Booking.com offers a large range of hotels and resorts across the region.

    Nice place when u consider no jam to go around. Fav spot is the nearest beach to the property. We had great food experience at the town (Nur Erfan Restaurant) and we enjoyed the Museum (Nelayan Muzium at Tg Balau).

    So many places to go and food to try in Muar it will surprise you. Decided to have morning walk in Tanjung Emas, parked at the beautiful 19th Century Sultan Ismail Jamek Mosque to see the sunrise over the Muar estuary. Walked all the way to the Sunset beach; open sea on your right, green golf fields on your left. Then stumbled upon Tanjung Ketapang Mangrove trail, walking on wooden walkway under the canopy of the mangrove trees and sea water lapping underneath. Recharged the end of the walk with the homegrown Kopi 434 Muar. Looking forward to my next adventure in Muar.

    Small Town more for Chinese Family as there is a lot of Food options around. You can experience that Coffee area like kampong times Shopping at the Nearby Mail also is a good experience as if you consider the price over here is a bit most Expensive than those in JB As we all know JB price on items is almost comparatively equal to Singapore. 150KM away will enjoy cheaper foods and items and also peaceful.

    I frequently travel to Skudai to drop my sister off at UTM, and during our visits, we always enjoy brunch at Chamek Kopitiam, where the food is truly exceptional. You should definitely try their dishes – everything tastes amazing! If you're a shopaholic, I highly recommend spending a couple of days at Paradigm Mall, as it offers a wide range of stores to explore.

    Basic not much to do there and the weather was super hot. My impression of Kulai is famous for the thunder tea rice but to my disappointment I had tried 4 different stall / shop/ cafe/ restaurant. The tea soup was super salty is was like drinking seawater.

    Nice place. Good durians and fruits. The food is authentic and tasty. Kluang rail coffee restaurant is nice. The toast all are very good. Also the neighborhood several small shops which sell good items. My wife enjoy the shopping of RM2.40 items in ECO shop. Overall nice place.

    Many restaurants available nearby hotel, so the traveller guest can select the place according to his/her individual choice of food. I generally used to eat at restaurant OSMAN OR restaurant HABIB. Try to have some Food/Beverage at Restoran BANAFEE Seri Alam near TODAY's mall. One can buy fresh fruits and other necessary shopping at TODAY's mall nearby. Pharmacy shops are available nearby in walking distance, which is very good. Possible for the travellers to connect to other cities in Malaysia from TBPG (Terminal Bas Pasir Gudang).

    Nice small Malaysian town with the usual good choice of authentic local far and fast food restaurants. Town seems be well-maintained in terms of road and pavement maintenance, refuse collection and community buildings and signages. Useful base for going out to Tioman and the other islands.
