Very professional and attentive services even before check-in. Instructions were clear and personalised service when we were unable to locate the lift lobby. Annabale came down to pick us personally. Staff constantly in touch to ensure our comfort through the stay. I applaud the exceptional services and location was great! Room and bathroom were well lit and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel was very generous with mineral water and soft drinks. Overall, I was impressed by the staff and the property. It was a good value place to stay.

Extremely luxurious for a reasonable price. Good location, especially during the Ramadan market which is right on the street. Everything within distance. There is a fridge and kettle, and really nice soap:) Smart automatic curtains and a working big tv with English movie channel and natgeo. Very bright and clean. Very professional personnel. The hotel is pretty new and small, and they really make an effort to accommodate their guests needs. Ended up staying for more than a week… we loved our stay, and came back and stayed again upon return from Sepilok.

Property was newly renovated so we had a beautiful new room to ourselves . Bed was comfortable, views were absolutely gorgeous. We even saw a turtle right in front of our room. Everything was excellent! The spacious 1 bedroom suite was amazing with steam shower and whirlpool bath. We had balcony facing swimming pool and the beach. Very quiet place with not so many people around...you can have the beach just for yourself most of the day. Cleaning every day. Staff very helpfull..organized for us car rental, airport transfer and trips. The place is a bit remote (restaurants are in the Nexus hotel nearby-free transfer) or you can walk along the beach. I loved that we got a pocket wifi..so we could stay connected everywhere.

The sea view from my room and the cafe was so beautiful. The staff was so nice especially at the cafe. My husband was asking a question regarding the one of the food just to make sure what was it, and the staff explained it so eagerly even showing us the example of the packaging. Love the breakfast here! The location was so strategic, walking distance from any attraction food and shopping places. Near to the airport and easily access for e hailing.

The scenic drive up is already a treat, and once you arrive, the lush greenery and serene atmosphere make it feel like a world away from the city. We enjoyed exploring local attractions like the Desa Dairy Farm, the Alpaca Club, the vegetable markets, and the beautiful gardens. The area is also rich in culture and history, with nearby memorial sites and traditional food experiences. One of the highlights was staying at a cozy homestay near Selera Kebun, where we got to enjoy authentic dishes like nasi linopot and gulai lemak cili padi rusa salai—a must-try for food lovers! sandakan is fun. make sure to visit rainforest discovery centre, sepilok orang utan sanctuary and the sunbear sanctuary. didnt expect so many cafe that serve their own specialty coffee. 1# coffee is the name of the shop and a very good place to blast away that coffee urge. sandakan is abit crowded with people that im not sure local but overall it was a good adventure.

sabah pork noodle at hing lee & union cafe....the sabah pork noodle is good......union cafe egg tarts , chicken pie & Hainanese coffee & tea is good. sea food is not so expensives compared with kuala lumpur. deep sea fishes , lobsters.....paku vege...is good grab car available .....all nearby location for food.rm4 to rm6 fare. do not waste your time to visit the cocoa museum....charge rm50 per head and need to make appointment . [ waste of time ] see the famous jci clock tower with the fish, crab , prawn roundabout- FOC

Once a humble coastal town, it’s now becoming increasingly tourist-oriented. Seafood tends to be on the pricier side unless you’re skilled at bargaining. Diving here offers mostly smaller marine life, especially when compared to the vibrant underwater scenes of the Maldives. Night dives aren’t permitted unless you’re staying at one of the pricier water resorts that offer in-house diving. It’s fine for a short getaway, but there’s not much in the way of standout attractions or culinary experiences.

Beautiful and great place to experience. Enjoy the whole trip. We plan to return fit & strong to trek Mount Kinabalu. Don't miss out. Great place for a family holiday. Don't have to travel to Europe to gain such a fascinating view, Only be mindful, a lot of uphill if u wanna walk around. Great place for retirement if u love trekking n love nature. Love the attitude of road users. No horn

It is well worth staying at least two nights at Sepilok, so...

It is well worth staying at least two nights at Sepilok, so that one can attend both feeding sessions at the orang utan centre, visit the sunbear rehabilitation centre AND spend time at the wonderful Rainforest Discovery Centre. The latter deserves a few hours, preferably in the afternoon and leading up to dusk, as one can see so much wildlife,. The canopy walkway is amazing.

From what we saw, pretty much the only reason to stay in Lahad Datu is to catch a plane. We were there about 24 hours which was plenty. The airport is one of the smallest I have ever been to and was hot and crowded, but the plane was on time and got us to Kota Kinabalu.

I wouldn't choose to stay in Keningau again.

I wouldn't choose to stay in Keningau again. It is a fairly grim place, noisy and with little to recommend it. I drove through Tambunan earlier on my trip which seemed like a much nicer place (although I didn't stay due to the lack of accommodation). The road through the Crocker range was good and worth a visit, but don't expect too much of Keningau itself.

Kota Kinabalu is a beautiful city with amazing waterfront...

Kota Kinabalu is a beautiful city with amazing waterfront views, friendly locals, and plenty of nice cafes and seafood restaurants. It’s a great place to relax and explore nature. However, I found the food prices to be higher than expected — generally pricier than in Penang or Kuala Lumpur. Other than that, it was an enjoyable trip and I’d love to visit again someday.
