An amazing historic hotel, centrally located in Swakopmund - this is why we picked it, and we didn't regret a moment. Starting from good parking and assistance with luggage, going to absolutely awesome historic ambiance of the place (it's the oldest hotel in town after all) - clean, polished, well-managed property. We were offered a complimentary upgrade into a suite (for the sake of argument, regular rooms are also amazing - we had a chance to take a quick glimpse at one). Our suite was large, spotlessly clean, with everything perfectly functioning. Large sitting area, courtesy tray and bottles of water, fully stocked bathroom. WIFI was the fastest in Namibia. And the breakfast served downstairs was the poshest and the best quality we've ever had in any country in Africa: cold cuts, herring, yoghurts, good juices, decent selection of bread and even scones... Last but not least - amazing bar as well as super competent personnel. We wish every hotel in Namibia was like that.

Its location is perfect at the beach front, mid way between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. The rooms are very clean and spacious and worth the price. The staff is also very helpful from the driver who fetched me at the airport to the house help. I really enjoyed my stay with them and will do it again.

    the museum which was recommended by the hotel was really worth a visit we spent a whole morning there and learnt so much about Namibia and its people as well as Swakopmund. the walk along the pier though very windy was worth the experience.

    I liked the weather, activities particularly the combo from Sandwich Dune company which included a cruise, we were able to see seald which kept coming on our boat, pelicans, dolphins and we also got an opprotunity to see a whale. We then went on the sand dune drive which was a lot of fun got to see where the Atlantic Ocean and the Namib desert meet. we also saw the desert animalsthe oryx and springbok. It was a great adventure which we all enjoyed. We got to v isit the Mondesa Village Hafeni restraunt for some local food which we enjoyed

    Omaruru was a lovely surprise.

    Omaruru was a lovely surprise. It was a short trip to break our journey on the way to Swakopmund. Such a lovely, beautiful town with the loveliest and friendly people. Great restaurants with german cuisine, and very very safe. We walked around for hours at night and felt so safe.

    Best seafood in Namibia you will get at Fishy Corner- fresh and masterchef quality The Spar Henties is a shopping experience on its own. You will go in for 5 items and comes out with a trolly full of goodies. The weather, the people, the houses with their own unique character makes Henties Bay a must visit place.

    Its a quiet area, perfect if you want a peaceful get away as well as for fishing and surfing. Best place to eat @ Salt restaurant, maybe because it was near to our location. Its easy to get around once you familiarize yourself with the street names. You need to ensure you have your own means of transport or reliable shuttle services when visiting this area.

    Wilhelmstal is just a tiny place along the B2.

    Wilhelmstal is just a tiny place along the B2. To reach Khan River Lodge you follow the signs that lead you 20 km from the tarred road B2 to the Lodge on sandy farm roads. The trip is no problem also for normal sedan cars. Food is offered at the lodge while self- catering is also a possibility. Their breakfast is very rich and nice. The lodge also offers game drives to their customers.

    The crystal museum is a must see.

    The crystal museum is a must see. Stadtmitte Cafe serves exceptional food (well worth the wait). The manageress at the Mermaid Casino was extremely rude, impolite and disrespectful when we attempted to leave the premises with a can of Coca Cola that we had purchased within the premises much to the embarrassment of the security personnel who apologised profusely to us on our departure.

    Walvis Bay is a peaceful city/town with some great activities to participate in such as sailing on the Atlantic to spot seals and whales. It's a great choice for visitors looking to relax in a peaceful neighbourhood. Its only 30 minutes away from the old town of Swakopmund where visitors can access relaxing beach spots, tourism sites, and restaurants.

    The lovely grounds. The room was a little disappointing .. Looking into road entrance and neighbours open messy garden. Room quite small. Evening meal and breakfast were sub standard. They were very helpful and changed our booking dates, due to sickness that delayed us by a week.
