They go the extra mile and seem genuinely happy. Special thank you to Petrus and the front of house team for being so kind. The lodge has charm, good vibes and seemed much more authentic compared some other lodges we stayed at. The location is incredibly peaceful and quiet. We saw giraffe, warthog, impala, kudu, waterbuck, mongoose, ostrich - either by sitting at the new waterhole viewing platform with a drink at sunset, or by going for a little walk . We stayed in winter, but our room had a heat pump plus a woodburner which was lit by the staff every night. Super cosy. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The pool and outside lounging areas were plentiful with Chris overlooking the waterhole, plenty of comfy loungers and other seating areas around the property. The food was outstanding! The best of our entire trip. Comfy rooms and beds too. InDrive in Windhoek makes getting round very easy.
InDrive in Windhoek makes getting round very easy. However the location markers seem tricky - either drivers can't find you or the time indicated in the App is not correct. Ordering food ahead and going to collect at restaurants made evenings after work very easy. The Col'cacchio restaurant at Grove Mall had a fabulous view of the setting sun over drinks or dinner.
