On the positive side, the rooms.were big, bes comfortable, and it had a nice leather chair and ottoman that you could use. The bathroom had hot water on demand and was spacious enough. On the negative side, the television did not work at all. Just outside our door we had a nice pool which we used daily. It had three lounge chairs and a big seated chair that fit two people. Breakfast was I included and consisted of two choices everyday, unfortunately they were the same choices each day we were there. That said, the breakfast was fine and the service was good. Staff at the reception desk spoke good English. Overall, I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are looking for good quality at a reasonable price.Guest review bykimCanada

The hotel staff arranged my airport pick up, which was a fair price. The receptionist (Angelika?) was very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The whole hotel has a lovely colonial / vintage feel. There was some really beautiful artwork throughout, some of which was painted by the owners mum. It had a lovely charming feel. I didn’t use the small pool, but this is definitely a bonus for the high temperatures in Leon. My room was lovely and comfortable. Everywhere was spotless. Breakfast was included and was also excellent. The location was perfect for exploring Leon and felt very safe. Common areas are super comfortable, overlooking the beach, and encourages chatting with the other guests but there's also areas to chill in a hammock, do yoga, or watch the surf and beach action. The young staff are very lively and welcoming. Our beginner surf lesson was awesome. A/C in the room worked very well and the sleep was quiet (except during the day when neighbours play music). Leon is a pretty and interesting city.
Leon is a pretty and interesting city. We enjoyed a walking tour and the art museum was absolutely fantastic. We also really enjoyed doing a few trips from here - to the beach/mangroves at Las Penatas, and a volcano hike. Las Penitas is only 2 hours from Managua and 20 mins from lovely Leon. It’s totally relaxing, with some great places to eat for every budget, surf schools and mangroves to explore. The fishermen bringing their boats in up the river are a great sight to see at high tide.
