Excellent hotel and good value. Only very slight negative would be that our bicycles were stored outside. However, they were locked in the extensive range of secure bike racks. Excellent restaurant and outstanding breakfast.

Staff were really friendly and super helpful. Superb breakfast - one of the best I've ever seen. Great location in the village. Close to all amenities. Bus stops immediately outside the property. Really comfortable bed. Good sized en-suite/wet room with underfloor heating. Lovely cafe downstairs. Large communal balcony/terrace on 1st floor for relaxing and watching/photographing Northern Lights.

Bryggehotel is a new hotel established in 2024, so all of the facilities are super fresh, clean and nice and new. The rooms are exactly as shown, super comfortable and spacious and cosy. One of the comfiest and cosiest beds ever. The reception kindly let us check in early and out an hour late. The breakfast was also really good. Note that on Mondays most other restaurants in Henningsvær are closed so you should book the Bryggehotell restaurant in advance if you are there on a Monday as it can get busy. Overall we had a really good stay.

From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive, making me feel truly welcome. A special thank you to Aleksandra Drzal, who was incredibly helpful in arranging both a private boat tour and restaurant reservations—her assistance made a huge difference. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and offered a stunning view that took my breath away every morning. The breakfast was exceptional—fresh, delicious, and with plenty of variety to suit every taste. The staff at both breakfast and dinner were outstanding—friendly, professional, and made every meal feel special. One of the most memorable experiences was the private boat tour led by Svein Roar Petterson—it was absolutely amazing and a true highlight of my trip. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm, relaxing, and perfectly suited for both leisure and business. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. Everything was perfect for my stay, and I can’t wait to come back again. This hotel is an absolute must-stay!

The whole experience was as expected - excellent. In addition to the ice facilities there is a whole bunch of "ice free" spots: the top quality restaurant, a cozy big living-room with a fireplace, and some trails outside to have a nice walk. The northern lights we saw was just pleasant addition to all of the above.

    We like the location, especially the view of the Fjord from our windows, and the quietness - the hotel stays away from the busy tourists area but in walking distance to everything. The staff on the reception was knowledgeable and polite. The food in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner was amazing. You have to keep in mind to book the table for dinner.

    The location was so nice with sea view and mountain view. We are at the 2nd floor with balcony. It was not good weather during the night time so we did not have chance to view the aurora as many other people did. The 2 bedroom suite was very large with 2 bathroom and 2 kitchens.     We came for the midnight marathon as the principal drive for...

    We came for the midnight marathon as the principal drive for our visit but had a couple of days before to look around. We should have done it the other way round as we could not enjoy the sight seeing as much because of fretting about the run. I think our favourite thing were the seals at Polaria though. The city is very walkable but the scooters are easy to pick up if you have had enough. Unfortunately the cable car up the mountain overlooking Tromso was under repair and I was looking forward to going up it. I thought this was odd timing as they new a lot of people would be coming to the city for the race...

    Bodø isnt a common or popular tourist destination for most visitors to Norway but it has a lot to offer, from restaurants, beaches, nature hikes and excursions, northern lights, and of course not to forget Saltstraumen. It is colder than other cities in Norway as it is the windiest city in Norway, so be prepared for that.

    Pretty city in an amazing environment. We stayed here on a Sunday so everything was unfortunately closed besides the bar and turist shops. I would have loved to explore more both in and around the city !

    We loved the beauty of the city.

    We loved the beauty of the city. Tourist information staff were very friendly and helpful with information for sightseeing. War museum is excellently presented. Gondola ride to the top of Narvikfjellet is a must to see the beautiful sights from above Buses were easy to use and the plenty of shopping centres. We loved all the memorial statues, a beautiful city. We also took a ride on the Arctic Train, suggest this is a day time trip to see the amazing scenery.

    A gateway to other areas like Lofoten. My recommendation is to stay further afield to the full extent you can. as things like quiet, darkness and views all improve a lot away from the airport. And once you do... it can be magic.

    We chose Alta, the City of Northern Lights, to "Hunt the Aurora Borealis". We were NOT disappointed. It was a magical experience. Lots of beautiful northern lights shows. We did a number of activities: night time horse drawn sleigh ride and dinner; king crab fishing experience; tour of the Ice Hotel at Sorrisniva; dog sled ride at Holmen Husky. We stayed at a canvas dome in GLOD, with the most amazing guide to see the Northern Lights. We stayed in a forest suite at Holmen Husky. The place was incredible and the way they treat the dogs will completely change your thoughts on the sport of dog sledding. They were the sweetest and happiest dogs I've ever seen. We stayed at Flatmoen Natur Lodge, which is a family owned and ran farm. Each lodge has their own private, outdoor jacuzzi so you can sit outside while the snow is falling or hope to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.

    Lovely town in the Lofoten Islands with a beautiful beach nearby (Rorvika). Great cafes and restaurants especially Klatrekafeen. Would like to have done some hiking nearby but we ran out of time and it was actually too hot!

    Leknes is not the real tourist draw in the lofoten, but is central with a lot of busses going through if you don't bring a car. The bakery near the bus station and Sakura can be recommended. We didn't try other places.

    Bought a 24 hour bus pass.

    Bought a 24 hour bus pass. Was really easy to navigate to cathedral, botanic gardens, tromso museum, airport. Central downtown is very easy to walk around, harbor is pleasant. We got a rental car to explore outside the city after that for 5 nights before flying on. Would recommend getting out to the city also as there is much beauty within an hour - however you chose to do that.
