- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,213 reviewsI checked in around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Check in was fast due to small queue. I was given a room on the 14th floor right in front of the elevator. The windows were facing the sunrise east. The view looks sad. The hills looked barren with no grass and the clouds looked grey. Then things went wrong further when I tried to use the safe. When I keyed in a password, it started beeping non stop! I think it has a battery problem. There were no telephone in the room so I had to go down to tell the reception to fix the safe. However, she instead gave me another room on the same floor. This time I got room 1409. This time the room window was facing west. Much better as I could see snow capped mountains and the parked yatches at the harbour. I liked that the room has a TV with some decent channels. Was able to watch some performers on Eurovision but I turned it off because the performances were so weird. I liked the shower facilities. It came with towels, soap, hair dryer, waste bins, tissue box and a place to hang your towels. No bathtub but its ok. The room was carpeted which was nice on the feet. I didn't ask the room cleaning lady to clean my room but I did throw my trash in the trolley bin once every 2 days with my own trash bag. I also liked the elevator. It was fast to arrive. The breakfast spread was royalty standard. My favourite was the scrambled eggs, baked beans, baked potatoes, salad, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, smoked salmon, yogurt, apple juice and hot chocolate. It opens at 6.30am on weekdays but they actually open the doors 5 minutes earlier. Travelling around Bodø was easy as there are many electric scooters around like Tier and Ryde. Overall, I was initially contemplating to choose either Raddison Blu or Comfort Hotel but Scandic Havet is more peaceful with better views and breakfast. The location is also better. I also liked that the Grocery stores (REMA 1000 and EUROSPAR) are all nearby. The airport is walking distance.Guest review byFirdausSingapore

- From US$168.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,544 reviewsEach accommodation we stayed in on our Norway trip was nice but this was one of the best! Lovely, comfortable, clean, cute rorbuer; we received a free upgrade to a 2-bedroom/2-bathroom cabin! The furniture and bathrooms were very tasteful and luxury. You could see that a lot of thought was put into furnishing the place. The kitchen was very well equipped. The view from the living room and bedroom was a dream come true. We could not have asked for more, thank you very much for everything!Guest review byAngelaGermany

We came for the midnight marathon as the principal drive for our visit but had a couple of days before to look around. We should have done it the other way round as we could not enjoy the sight seeing as much because of fretting about the run. I think our favourite thing were the seals at Polaria though. The city is very walkable but the scooters are easy to pick up if you have had enough. Unfortunately the cable car up the mountain overlooking Tromso was under repair and I was looking forward to going up it. I thought this was odd timing as they new a lot of people would be coming to the city for the race...Guest review byKirstenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We loved our stay in Bodø although we didn’t see much of the city itself. We hiked up Keiservarden, went to the Pust Sauna with a dip in the freezing ocean, went on a moose safari at night and ended our trip with a visit to the Luftfahrtmuseum.Guest review bySaraSpain - 10.0

Reine is the crown jewel of the Lofoten Islands — probably one of the most beautiful places on earth. Surrounded by dramatic peaks and crystal waters, it offers stunning views at every turn. Perfect for hiking adventures, yet still full of charm with its picture-perfect fishing villages and cozy vibe.Guest review byDenizTurkey - 10.0
A gateway to other areas like Lofoten.
A gateway to other areas like Lofoten. My recommendation is to stay further afield to the full extent you can. as things like quiet, darkness and views all improve a lot away from the airport. And once you do... it can be magic.Guest review byPeterNew Zealand - 10.0

We chose Alta, the City of Northern Lights, to "Hunt the Aurora Borealis". We were NOT disappointed. It was a magical experience. Lots of beautiful northern lights shows. We did a number of activities: night time horse drawn sleigh ride and dinner; king crab fishing experience; tour of the Ice Hotel at Sorrisniva; dog sled ride at Holmen Husky. We stayed at a canvas dome in GLOD, with the most amazing guide to see the Northern Lights. We stayed in a forest suite at Holmen Husky. The place was incredible and the way they treat the dogs will completely change your thoughts on the sport of dog sledding. They were the sweetest and happiest dogs I've ever seen. We stayed at Flatmoen Natur Lodge, which is a family owned and ran farm. Each lodge has their own private, outdoor jacuzzi so you can sit outside while the snow is falling or hope to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.Guest review bycmayes80United States - 8.0
We loved the beauty of the city.
We loved the beauty of the city. Tourist information staff were very friendly and helpful with information for sightseeing. War museum is excellently presented. Gondola ride to the top of Narvikfjellet is a must to see the beautiful sights from above Buses were easy to use and the plenty of shopping centres. We loved all the memorial statues, a beautiful city. We also took a ride on the Arctic Train, suggest this is a day time trip to see the amazing scenery.Guest review byChezAustralia - 10.0

Ballstad is a pituresque fishing village surronded by mountains. It's located right in the center of Lofoten which makes it a great base for those we want to explore the archipelago. Buksnes church is charming and a must see. Also it's near to Leknes where you can find a lot of stores and supermarkets. Ballstad will have a special place in our hearts as it was where we saw the most fantastic Aurora show which we were expecting for so long.Guest review byLeonardoPortugal - 10.0
Bought a 24 hour bus pass.
Bought a 24 hour bus pass. Was really easy to navigate to cathedral, botanic gardens, tromso museum, airport. Central downtown is very easy to walk around, harbor is pleasant. We got a rental car to explore outside the city after that for 5 nights before flying on. Would recommend getting out to the city also as there is much beauty within an hour - however you chose to do that.Guest review byHenryUnited States
