Hot tub area was also kept very clean. The staff and owner of the property were also very helpful in providing recommendations for attractions, and in assisting us in our needs! My dinner was scrumptious, and breakfast was excellent too. The hotel has gated off the road parking with easy access. The hotel is very pretty with one of the best steaks that I have ever had. We are a family of four and had four nights in Rotarua. We loved it. We visited Hobbiton, many thermal geyser parks, Redwoods night walk and Secret Spot hot tubs. Plus the amazing Wai Ariki hot springs and spa. Need a car to travel here but it was fantastic.Guest review byLisaFiji - 10.0

Hamurana is a beautiful, quiet spot on the outskirts of Rotorua. Close enough to all the attractions with the added bonus of peace and quiet. Great location - away from the bustle of Rotorua - but just a quick drive to get into town. Super close to the amazing Okere Falls cafe and lovely bush walk. You will love the place.
You will love the place. Don’t worry about the Sulphur smell in town as you do get used to it everywhere you go. There’s so much to see and do in the vicinity. Visited Hobbiton, Huka Fallls, the thermal areas around & outside of Rotorua. Māori Village and the lake areas of Rotorua. I loved the nature and surrounding lake and canals. Good for people with boats and who want to get away from populated areas. If needing food supplies bring with you as the restaurant on site works according to bookings (eg not all day /all the time).
