- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 142 reviewsThink of Teavapiti Lodge as a typical Airbnb/homestay - not as the Conrad Bora Bora which a lot of sour reviews have seemingly expected. The host was incredibly helpful in making my quick trip to Raiatea a good one, not only offering great local recommendations but also organising a rental car for the day, last minute, and prearranging a taxi for my arrival into Raiatea. The room and bathroom were fantastic, clean and comfortable. You have to cross a shared hallway to reach the bathroom, but who cares? You're staying in an excellent location with a great host and some adorable dogs. Overall, great value for money and I really enjoyed my time in Raiatea. I'd love to come back and stay here again when I return to this beautiful part of the world!Guest review byBrockAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 369 reviewsBruno was absolutely fantastic. Such a happy and welcoming host. He drove me to the shop as soon as I arrived since I had to buy some food before it closed. The excursion he organised of the lagoon is the best one I have done in French Polynesia. The bed is also the best I had slept in during my month-long trip. The kitchen is big, clean and has all necessary instruments for cooking.Guest review byLUCIASingapore
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 213 reviewsLoved everything but in particular: 1) the staff went above and beyond in being helpful and always with a smile 2) the food, out of the ordinary, you would expect to eat this type of food in a Michelin star restaurant 3)the swimming pool was amazing, always clean and never too busy Could not recommend this place enough!Guest review byIlariaUnited Kingdom

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 60 reviewsThe setting was fabulous! And the owner was beyond helpful. The only drawback was the distance from the main town. The lovely view, proximity to a hiking trail and UNESCO site made up for that.Guest review byPattiCanada

For me, Utoroa is not really a place to go for tourists but more of a stopover to get groceries. It is hard to get around so you need to hire a car. Check the store hours as they close during the day. There are some walks but it is hard to find out information. Restaurants/cafes are very limited.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
I loved how chill and beautiful Uturoa is.
I loved how chill and beautiful Uturoa is. I rented a car and drove around to see the sites and did a lagoon tour, and I felt like between those things and exploring the small town, it was enough for me. I could've always done another tour or hiking, too.Guest review bySarahUnited States - 10.0
Very nice people, friendly, helpful, smiling.
Very nice people, friendly, helpful, smiling. Small town, easy to find your way. Laid back and easy going. No stress. Beautiful lagoons, vivid colors, fantastic sunsets. Fun to walk through the little town and get a feeling of the place. Great little shop on the waterfront, it's a little French pastry shop called BonApetahi, many yummy delicious pastries made by someone who is very well versed in French baking and using the local aromas to make a delightful union of deliousness.Guest review byLynMariteFrench Polynesia
