- From US$132.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 223 reviewsLovely rooms/cottages. Very friendly staff. Nice gym, well equipped. Our family came over for a swim and the kids loved the pool. The owner made time to talk to us and referred us to their other location in Sipalay that we also visited. Next time we will stay there also! Thank you for a great time!Guest review byChyrllNetherlands

No really a friendly place to live or visit...The airport is small and uncomfortable...It's all about tokens or tips for people who are not even helping you with your luggage and NO Grab car/taxi service there...No place to eat buffet restaurants and it's hard to find cook tilapia fish there in restaurants...Guest review byAnthonyUnited States - 8.0

We came here for diving and that was excellent both from the wildlife and dive quality and to the company we used AivyMaes. The town is a little limited so get a scooter. The apartment was equipped for cooking and although we were on holiday we chose to do that rather than eat out all the time. This wa sin large part due to the excellent fresh fish available in the central market. I would also recommend a day out at Casaroro falls near the town of Valencia, which is about a 40 minutes scooter rideGuest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 4.0

The hotel is very nice, nice pool, nice garden and good food in the restaurant. Very helpful and nice staff. Unfortunately the beaches on this side of the island are quite rocky, black sands and only few places to lay at the beach. I know that i am quite picky when it comes to food; but beside the hotel restaurant it´s quite difficukt to find good restaurants nearby. You will need a car or motorcycle to go around.Guest review bySSC911Germany - 10.0

The proprietor pointed out for me to go early to the Sunday market in Valencia. And what a gem it was. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and coffee stalls, as well as the fruit and vegetable stalls. Valencia has some eateries and some bars along the main road into Dumaguete.Guest review byDanielNew Zealand - 4.0
I went to Bayawan for 2 reasons.
I went to Bayawan for 2 reasons. One to meet up with someone and I had heard they had a long boulevard that was supposed to be very nice. I was sadly disappointed. It looked like no one had done any maintenance for a very long time. Everything was overgrown and the one fountain I saw was very dirty and full of trash. I am not sure what the problem is that they don't take better care of the boulevard. Maybe no budget or maybe no one cares anymore. There is not much there to attract visitors. The only reason I will go back is to meet up with the person I went there to meet the first time. Maybe my next trip I will find some things that are of interest.Guest review byBrianPhilippines - 8.0
Lots of expats to talk too. Beautiful 17th century churches.
Lots of expats to talk too. Beautiful 17th century churches. Why Not is a great bar after 9pm, billiards, disco, 80's music. Boulevard is very nice to walk with live entertainment HayHay ,and chiccos were the 2 best restaurants, but plenty of other good ones. It's definitely worth staying a few days . Dauin is close by for diving and snorkeling. Valencia has very scenic waterfalls and mango ranch.Guest review byBrown - 10.0
Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable.
Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. The room was big and comfortable. WiFi was great. Staff were all very attentive and helpful to all our requests. Dumaguete city is about 30 minutes away and offers lots of restaurants and other attractions. We definitely will come again if we return in the future.Guest review byCarmenUnited States - 8.0
People are very friendly.
People are very friendly. Loads of restaurants that have western food. Chiccos restaurant by why not is excellent. Skip gerrys, overpriced and not good . Why not is a great disco/ pool bar after 9pm. The boulevard is the place to be. St Catherine cathedral is amazing 17th century churchGuest review byBrown - 10.0

We stayed in Dauin for one night en route from Dumaguete to Apo Island because I had heard that the Dauin Marine Sanctuary off of Dauin Beach was an awesome spot to snorkel. And it was!!! The coral garden was literally right off the beach within a 1 minute swim. We arrived by tricycle from Dumaguete. We stayed at a resort right on Dauin Beach for easy and quick access. There were multiple restaurants in the area within a 3-10 min walk. We ate at Jardin's. They had a nice variety of very tasty food, and the owners were lovely and accommodating. We stayed late and just chatted with them. We were easily able to catch another tricycle along the main road to get to Malatapay to catch our ferry to Apo Island the next morning.Guest review byKevinUnited States
