The hosts are wonderful, friendly, helpful, interesting and just plain lovely people. The building and surrounds are perfect in every detail, right down to the live stork nest cam. The choice of meals each night is small but the selection caters for most tastes. The upside of a small menu is quality, the food is some of the best I have ever tasted, anywhere in the world. The ingredients are fresh, local and cooked to absolute perfection! Beautiful nature, great lakeside views. Slightly underdeveloped, with little information available hence one has to explore and discover. Perfect for watersports, with plenty of options available (but you have to explore yourself ...). Sejny is a small town in the podlaskie region, surrounded by fields, lakes and forests. It is worth visiting for its local charm, and landmarks, such a White Synagogue, run by Pogranicze Foundation, (which also runs the nearby Dworek Miłosza in Krasnogruda). As it islocated at the Polish-Lithuanian borderland, in the the shops and in restaurants (such as Dom Litewski), you can find Lithuanian and Polish specialities, such as regional cheeses, meats, and liquors. We didn't go beyond the accomodation complex but that had several activities available anyway. You could purchase a fire pit evening, go fishing, go swimming in the lake and I'm sure there would be more available if you wanted. Hotel is located by a lake in a quiet wooded area. The interior of the hotel is really beautiful. Room and all the public spaces were very clean. Room was spacious and well equipped with a kettle and coffee maker etc. Pool area was nice and cozy. Staff was very friendly. A very nice city situated on 3 lakes with tour boats to take you on a nice trip on those lakes. I pretty much ate my meals at the Pensjonat Zagielek where I was staying as their restaurant serves delicious meals. They even have daily specials a few days of the week. It is an easy walk or drive to the downtown area with mostly flat ground. A very scenic city. Well marked road signs for getting back onto highways .Guest review byMichaelMexico
