Given the fact that my mother (88 y.o.) had birthday, we got as a gift one day free access at the Spa centre. We opted for demi-pension (breakfast and dinner included) and we were amazed by the diversity of the offer for both meals. The room (family room) was modern and spacious and we had a large balcony facing the little spa town. For us it was a memorable stay and most of all we were impressed by the warm-hearted and professional approach of all the staff at the hotel: reception, restaurants, spa centre. Its a beautiful city in the heart of Transylvania which has a rich history and cultural background, with architecture that reflects this. Its situated on both sides of the Mures river and as such is predisposed to thick fog, and high degree of moisture. The city revolves around its medical university and facilities. We had lunch at Tiltott Csiki Söröző & Étterem @ Szászrégen / Reghin, that was our best gastronomy experience during our trip to Transylvania. However, there are very rural and abandoned parts of Reghin, you might avoid. We stayed there because it seemed a good place to stop during our way back to Hungary. We booked for 2 kids and 2 adults. The room is spacious with 2 toilets, one with the bath. Has a king sized bed and a sofa bed wich they opened for us and it was enough for another 2 person. Danes is a nice, quiet village. For us it was excellent because we wanted to discover the fortified evangelical churches in the area (there's one in Danes too, but we found it closed and didn't had the chance to search for whoever has the key - there's nothing special, that's how it is most of the times). We went to SIghisoara to visit the Citadel and the old town and one day 2 nights was enough as we had visited Viscri, where King Charles has the house. The food was excellent. The people were welcoming even though they didn't seem to get many English tourists. There were some old buildings to see and many restaurants to go to which were well priced. Nice place surrounded by the forest, the water in the Black Lake and the Bear Lake is salted, warm and wonderful, the terrace Boema is very nice with live music and the people ar dancing on the dance floor, good food, a lot of souvenirs shops with hand crafts, very kind people.
