Our purpose was to visit famous panted monasteries: Moldovita, Voronet, Sucevita and Humor. The Buchenland hotel was out base for two day survey. Room was big and clean, breakfast was good, food in the evening in the hotel restaurant was tasty. So, we can recommend the place. Hotel has a private parking place.

Casa Andrea is a modern, comfortable house in a quiet location just outside of town. The hostess, Paula, is extremely nice and helpful. She took time to explain everything to us in detail, and gave us fantastic information about places to visit both in the town and in the surrounding area. Everything about the house is perfect. It is spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. The rooms were modern and comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the excellent bathrooms. I cannot recommend this house highly enough. It would be a fantastic choice for families as there is a children's playroom with toys. The kitchen is fantastic and you could make anything there. Congratulations, Paula, on your lovely Casa Andrea.

Everything there takes you to a magical spot: from the exceptional food (only homemade traditional very tasty dishes plus traditional drinks on the house) to the amazing building architecture with great landscapes and the very welcoming staff. There's a big yard, as well. My 4 years old daughter loved it! Also, we took a long walk to the forest. Via Transilvanica passes through there. Overall, very impressed!

Good location 10 minutes away from city center ,good food, varied menu, staff very friendly and accommodating English-speaking family special mention to Lorena , good size pool, if you are planning to use steam room or sauna make sure you ask reception to turn it on 15-20 minutes in advance as it takes a while to heat up. Rooms are spacious the hotel makes a good base for a few days away in the mountains

the city is very nice and has lots of facilities . it helps to know romanian since very few speak and understand a different language, people are very nice and in most cases would do what they can to help you. I had also a feeling that there was very little crime in that city and i didnt confront any petty events. it has a good public transportation and it is easy to get around . i eat in different places fast food and restaurants it all was fine and as expected

The city is nice and one can use it as the center for...

The city is nice and one can use it as the center for visiting everything around on an area of 100 km. The only downside is that it take too long to get there if you're travelling from the Southern part of Romania. You can add some days of hiking too and you would have the perfect vacation mix.

You can have a good stay in the city visit the restored Casino, the central park (Squirrel Park) and make a lot of trips to Painted Eggs museums at Vama and Ciocanesti and to old monastires at Moldovita, Sucevita, Putna Voronet etc.

I am in Radauti quite often as it is a place I stop and stay...

I am in Radauti quite often as it is a place I stop and stay while going to and from Ukraine. For me the town is perfectly located for that purpose as it is only 20kms from the border town of Siret with Ukraine. Far better to stay in Radauti and then drive the next morning to the border or the same on the way back. Nice and cozy little town that has all you need, great places to stay, great places to eat, plenty of drive through concepts including many drive through coffee shops like Krew! Has a beautiful little town centre and its really a cross roads town where major roads meet and a railway junction, so its not the kind of town you visit to see something. If you are heading West to Maramures National Park, then Radauti is perfect to get supplies and refresh. Always take a hoodie anytime of year though as Radauti can remain cool for longer than in the South and weather can change rapidly and in winter be prepared as it gets very cold! Nice little town to stopover in for a night.

Vama is a place where you can find good value for money...

Vama is a place where you can find good value for money accommodations and is kind of in the center of Suceava county hence travelling times towards touristic attractions are manageable back and forth in one day, having also enough time for visitations. Almost no restaurants in the city :(. Dinner should be planned differently. Essentials shops such as "La doi Pasi", "Profi" are available. City also has train station.

We hardly had time for the city, as we were busy visiting the monasteries around it, which we highly recommend: Putna, Dragomirna, Gura Humorului, Voroneț, Sucevița, Moldovița, Agapia, Văratec. We managed to find some time for the city fortress, which we also recommend.

A lot of monasteries are situated close to Gura Humorului: Humor, Moldovita, Sucevita, Voronet and Putna - a little bit further. You can visit 2 (two) museums dedicated to the traditional art of decorating Easter eggs - one in Moldovita, the other one in Vama. There is also a very nice steam train in Moldovita - you have to book it in advance. For those who like to take nice pictures, there is a place called Panorama Bucovinei. There is also a tyrolean - a very long line, I understand - for those who like this kind of fun.

Very nice location to use as a base to travel to the nearby...

Very nice location to use as a base to travel to the nearby tourist attractions (Voronet, Gura Humorului, Marginea, Moldovita, Sucevita, Putna). We had lunch at Steak One which is a little bit expensive but has good food. The local "Wood Art Museum" (Muzeul "Arta Lemnului") worth a visit. If you visit Voronet monastery don't miss the nearby Gura Humorului monastery.

Wonderful place. To many cars.

Wonderful place. To many cars. And when mention to many cars. Indeed they were to many. But strange. On Easter break , hotels were empty most of all. Two rooms engaged on my 4 Stars hotel. And all the restaurant closed. Lucky I found one small supermarket. I bought salami, bread, smoked cheese, yogurt, some cake bars. I didn’t starve with plenty money in my pocket. But to sum up in few words. Romania is starting to get depopulated. Painfull reality.
