We had an amazing stay at Rutete Ecolodge! Julienne welcomed us in her little paradise with drinks at the the fireplace. After that, we had a delicious dinner cooked with ingredients she grows on site. She even went te extra mile baking a cake after I mentioned it was my birthday!
I can only recommend staying here!

The property was so perfectly located with clear signposts and on the roadside that it was very easy to locate.
The staff was amazing especially the receptionist and the rooms were so clean and had all I needed.
Not so far from the park at only 28kms and that’s a perfect place for budget travelers.

I cannot even express the gratitude I have for people and this place! They went above and beyond, do not hesitate to stay here, dont bother looking anywhere else, this is the place to stay, the rooms are immaculate, they washed our clothes, prepared our food which tasted phenomenal, I dream about the tilapia! They went all out for my husbands birthday, arranged for halal meat! Wow! Couldn't believe it! Best hotel ive ever stayed in, truly and I have travelled the world, they even organised our tour for the national park, exceptional! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone! Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart!

We had an amazing time at Ihema Lodges! This place far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived until check-out we felt truly looked after. The rooms were clean and comfortable with nice details throughout. Enjoying dinner with a beautiful backdrop of the lake was a highlight in itself. The staff was very helpful and flexible and made preparing for our safari in Akagera National Park a breeze.
We already miss the tranquility and calm of Ihema and will be sure to return soon.
Big thank you to the staff for creating such a memorable stay!

All the staff we wonderful helpful, seeking to help and make our stay a good stay, we were asked about the food in the restaurant, as to any likes or dislikes and as to the quality. Happy staff usually means good management, therefore great service. Very Good Buffer Breakfast, Evening meal was wonderful so much to choice and you can keep on going back lovely.
