Absolutely everything was superb! The experience started with hospitable and professional check in with Sara who was beyond helpful and kind. She recommended activities and shared a good deal of useful information. The room was excellent, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was delightful. The pool hours were great for my nephew, with tons of flexibility. We look forward to coming back next year again!

Very beautiful and quiet place with beautiful surroundings. Very clean rooms. The staff was hugely pleasant and warm. Excellent breakfast with a lot of things to choose from. Strong WiFi connection was through the whole hotel.

Bled is beautiful.
Bled is beautiful. The area around the lake is stunning and the boat trip to the island in a Pletna has to be experienced. We walked up to the castle via the road as the alternate route by steps was too difficult for us. The views were spectacular. We had dinner in the castle restaurant (a 4-course tasting menu) which was absolutely delicious. We took a taxi from our hotel and back as we did not want to walk in the dark. It cost us 20euros each way. There is a little train that you can ride on around the whole lake which gives a good feel for the area. We were staying at the Bled Rose Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis but found a wonderful place to eat, within a 5 minute walk of the hotel, called Art Cafe. Would highly recommend it. There was a very good choice of dishes, the place itself was very clean and the staff friendly and efficient. Thankfully everyone spoke English. If you want to sample the famous Bled Cake then I would suggest you get it from the supermarket (about a 10min walk from the hotel as the crow flies) because it is a third of the price. We bought ours by the lake at a cost of 26euros for 4 pieces whereas the supermarket was less then 5euros for 4. We still enjoyed it though.

Great place for a Vintgar gorge visit - this beautiful natural spot is really worth a visit. After visiting the gorge you can take a nice hike to Bled lake with its island and castle, the trail is quite easy with many nice views.

Rightly described as “the most relaxing destination in Europe,” with “mirror-still water, a serene alpine setting, and fairytale-like scenery.” The lake, the island, the town itself, the views of the Julian Alps, the proximity to other places, the atmosphere, the culture, the cuisine (and options) all contribute to a holiday experience that is nothing short of magical. We have visited Bled several times and even brought a group of 75 people to Bled. It remains among our favorite places in all of Europe.

Bled lives up to its rep as a beautiful spot, but there are a lot of tourists. Try to stay further down the lake than the end with all the big hotels. Good hiking and vibe in the off season (Oct/Nov.)
