- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.9Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 94 reviewsEverything. I almost never give a perfect score, because I always find something not perfect... not here. I think it's the first time. But my experience was just perfect. I don't know how to begin. 1 the hosts : are so kind and sweet. With REALLY good advices, for walk or for dinner. 2 the facilities : are many and qualitatives. The room with all games is family. The breakfast is fresh and excellent, with local products. They have a big spa, with a sauna and everything you need to be comfy, intimate. The cellar... let's talk about the cellar... they have local products on self service... and not just a little or bad quality...they have A LOT of amazing products. 3 The room is beautiful, with a incredible view. The comfort inside is very complete, with comfy bed, comfy chair, comfy cape, an ingenious table..etc..Guest review byCharlotteFrance

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 299 reviewsAbsolutly perfect location in alpine valley in Slovenia. Charming mountain hotel, great restourant, nice pizzeria with traditional napolitano owen for pizza. Great restaurant garden with scenic views. Breakfast is rich, domestic, tasty with quality ingridians. Probably every room have great scenic views over the Alps. Rooms are cosy, with tipical mountain decorations. Very friendly stuff, budget prices, pet friendly, with cool parking places. The village is very romantic, with 2 more restaurants (the first is clasic, the other is like a road 24h bar for bikers).Guest review byGulicSerbia

Bovec is a great location - lovely small town with beautiful views and great activities in the surrounding areas. We particularly liked the white water rafting and would recommend giving it a go. Definitely see myself returning to Bovec some time.Guest review byEricIreland - 10.0

Kobarid is a nice town by the river Soca with only cca 1000 inhabitants, but as a regional center the town serves a cca 5000 heads strong community. Worth to visit the Kobarski Muzej (WWI museum), the town center with the church, restaurants and very very good ice cream. Do not miss to climb up to the church and Italian monument, check out the Napoleonov most (Napoleon's bridge) and the Slap Kozjak (Kozjak waterfall). These are all accessible on foot. You can also take a tour following a marked hiking trail, see the beautiful nature, the mountains, the emerald color of the Soca river, historical monuments line WWI trenches and forts all along the river. Enjoy yourselves!Guest review byÁkosHungary - 10.0

Log pod Mangartom is an excellent base for all adrenaline activities. It’s a small place without nightlife, making it an ideal location for sports and outdoor enthusiasts. There are many foreigners, and it is filled with positive energy because the natural surroundings make you forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I recommend early morning walks as the freshness, scents, meadows, and mountains will leave you breathless with their beauty.Guest review byMarijaCroatia - 10.0

It's a great location if you are looking for a quiet place, the nearest city is Bovec which is relatively close by car. The view is beautiful and it's a great spot if you plan to hike in the area.Guest review byCsanádHungary - 10.0
Great location for walking, rafting, kayaking etc.
Great location for walking, rafting, kayaking etc. It's a pretty town centre with two small supermarkets, and two big ones just on the edge of town. The cable car isn't working right now - might be a while before it is back in action. But the Soca River has to be seen to be believed - just amazing. The local tourist office were really helpful too. The range of restaurants is a bit limited - burgers seem to be the common theme - but the quality is great, if not the variety!! Great bar, Thirsty River, in the middle of town. Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Felix Bar a great place with good food too.Guest review byJoeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

My visit to Kobarid (Caporetto) was primarily to spend time in its superb war museum and the WWI open air museum on the Kolovrat 15 kms to the east. As mid-September is classed as 'out-of-season' getting to the latter proved difficult (no public transport out of season!) but with the kindness of strangers - the people of Kobarid - I was able to make it there. The scenery in this part of Slovenia is spectacularly beautiful, the people of Kobarid warm, helpful and friendly. I hope to go back some day.Guest review byPhilip MNetherlands - 4.0

No restaurants at all available (back in 2018 in Hotel Alpine there were awesome pizzeria), no shops - nearest is 12 km away in Bovec, church bells wake you up in 7 AM. Surrounding area is extraordinary beautiful, air is and water are first class.Guest review byZoran BabichCroatia - 10.0
Fantastic part of the Slovenia - is the river Soča Valley.
Fantastic part of the Slovenia - is the river Soča Valley. Bovec village is the perfect base point for your activities like rafting/cycling/hiking/ or taking some discovery by car day trips. Lots of things to see and enjoy around - waterfalls (Boka, Virje) and meny more - river Soča in ist full beauty - Julian Alps (Kanin, Ostri Rob, Krnica..) - Relatively quick access to enjoy the hike to Mangart - close is also Italian border where you can reach by car in approximately 1h45 min the Lignano Sabbiadoro beach in Italy - picturesque nature, where you will relax during your stay. I have some more true to see videos from these visited places on my IG profile Travelbedeker.Guest review byViktorSlovakia - 8.0
Kobarid is great for hiking.
Kobarid is great for hiking. Unfortunately I was there when it was raining for days and didn't dare to do longer hikes. There is a great museum in town, but after having seen that, there's not much to do when the weather is bad. When the weather is nice, there are many great hiking routes from and to here, and buses also help you get back from Tolmin or Bovec. Unfortunately some other non-round hikes end in Magozd or Dreznica and there is no public transportation to get back to Kobarid. I would definitely recommend the town for 1-2 days to pass through, see the Napoleon bridge and Kozjak waterfall, and check the museum!Guest review byDóraHungary
