Koh Mak resort is a lovely place conveniently located right by the pier which is handy when you arrive or leave or take a boat to neighbouring Koh Kham island . we have found lot of new Thai friends here who made us feel very special . the manager who calls herself Sauce is lovely and very accommodating, helpful and efficient . anything we needed , she assisted promptly and always had a smile on her face . restaurant and bar staff became practically like a family to us on the first day . my daughter took special shine to a barman called Mr Nu and followed him everywhere. he was very attentive and kind to her throughout our stay . they all were . when we were leaving , they walked us to the pier and hugged us and waved goodbye . to be honest we didn’t want to leave and we’re so sad to leave them behind . the resort is lovely and the rooms are very spacious with plenty of storage space . plus they are right on the beautiful beach . Koh Mak Resort also has a little shop on the premises . there is an old lady called Attiya that runs it and she is like a grandma anybody would want . so sweet and always had a kind words for us and my daughter , even gave us some free gifts from her lovely shop . make sure you’d pop in to say hello . we also bought few things there , she has some lovely clothes for sale :) The beach is lovely and when the tide is out you can walk to the furthest end towards Turtle Beach , just beware of stray dogs that are often moving in packs .Take a coconut or sharp rock in case they get aggressive , they usually scamper off fast when you threaten them with it and shout Pai in a loud voice ! we loved Koh Mak resort , everything about this place was amazing and we felt super welcome throughout our stay there . we would definitely be back !

From the staff to the location, this place was a real treat to me. I Have got the best room of the hotel with the stunning view all over the island. The manager gave me a good discount on it as it was low season and made sure I was happy to everything on the offer. The staff were all friendly and the owner went above and beyond to make sure I was having a good time on the island. She sent me suggestions on where to eat or drink or swim. The interior is the rooms is curated with such a good taste and the garden is extremely well Looked after. There is even a gym, a yoga Shala and a gorgeous pool to relax. I arrived thinking I wouldn’t wanna spent so much time on a such quiet island, but after 2 days I started making plans to actually move there!! Koh Mak is a Thai Gem! Thank you good time team for all your care and effort in making my trip wonderful 🥰

The hotel is very good, small, so cozy. For breakfast you can choose 5-6 dishes from the menu, for example, something like full English, spring roll, pancakes, etc. There are also cereals, yogurt, croissants, jams, etc. You can take extra vegetables and fruits. Good coffee. I really liked the opportunity to go swimming right from the villa, literally a few steps. But I recommend taking swimming shoes, because there are stones. The beach is quiet, peaceful, if you want more people, you have to walk 15-20 minutes to the main street.

Cosy authentic rooms where you can listen to waves as you sleep. Never feels crowded and staff take care to serve you very good Thai food. Don't worry to be further away from the main walking street, it's a very beautiful island to take a short ride and find better beaches for swimming.

The staff were so sweet. The beach amazing. The hut with seaview amazing. There are a few other resorts nearby and a little supermarked at the resort next door. We loved the mosquitonet door, so you could sleep with open door and listen to the waves.

Little private heaven on Earth is all I am going to say, we loved everything about this place, the AC bungalow right on the beach overlooking the sea, the peace and quiet and the sweetest hosts.

Location is amazing, really quiet despite being very close to the sea. Bungalow is nice and comfy with a good sunrise, breakfast was very good.

Best resort for sunset and everyone was so fabulous. Very well-equipped gym. Thank you Khun Muoy and Khun Pud!
