There really isn't much there to see as a tourist.
There really isn't much there to see as a tourist. The city is not pretty or anything special. We were at Sukhothai and decided to travel here to extend our mini vacation. I would not recommend it for a visit. The only highlight for me was the SGT MAJ Folk Museum. This is a must see, if you are ever in the city.Guest review byNashboroguyThailand - 8.0

Phitsanulok is really off the beaten tourist track and...
Phitsanulok is really off the beaten tourist track and therefore unsuitable for those for the first time in Thailand. There are two main, good attractions, being Chan Royal Palace ruins and Sgt. Maj. Thawee's folk Museum. Good for one day in total. Phitsanulok therefore is a perfect example why forced spreading of (mass) tourism will not ever work, it lacks too much of what the general tourist would appeal (enough attractions, lively entertainment, quality accommodation and good (public) transport).Guest review bySanderEhvNetherlands
