- From US$31.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 132 reviewsWe loved this small boutique hotel.. its totally hidden from the outside. Its a loft style room, where we had a large bed on the top of the loft and bottom floor two single beds. Front room where we can unload our luggage. The main room had a dresser and a fridge and coffee station and storage. The bathroom was very spacious. The property had a cafe at the back which was quite lovely like a Barista and we could order any kind of coffee. They also had pastries. The breakfast was great, mixture of western and eastern food. We also had lunch here once and it was really good. The hotel has a lovely pool as the hotel has a fitness centre, which we didnt use. The staff were so lovely - they were all young, some could speak English and some couldnt and we used our language app to communicate. They arranged tuktuk for our day trips and dinner. We went to a lovely place recommended by the staff to try Sukothai noodles - it was so good. 7/11 is across the street so you can any supplies. The main attraction - the ancient city is about 40 minutes away, and it was arranged by the staff. The tuktuk driver was so nice, he took us all over the ancient city. This ancient city is a must as many dont visit here. Its a must if you want to understand Thailand's history. It will be a long day as many of the sites are all over the city, if you can do the main site, which will take you most of the day (walking around all the ruins) and seeing one of the large Buddha statues outside the main area, we were very happy with. This hotel is so lovely, it was written about in a in-flight travel magazine and we were pleasantly happy and surprised as they deserve all the accolades as they are lovely people. We highly recommend this tiny boutique hotel. Second night we walked closer to the main bridge and found a bar where all the expats hang out and found a food hall next to it and ordered food and ate on the street with plastic stools.. we have such good memories of this magical place.Guest review bySivaCanada
- From US$125.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,058 reviewsLocated about 1.3km outside the walled historical park it is set back from the road so is very quiet. We stayed in room 108 which set in a beautiful square with green and trees at the centre. They are bungalow type rooms, very spacious with lovely decoration. They were very clean and comfortable. The swimming pool was lovely and sparklingly clean with enough sun loungers and plenty of towels. Breakfast was good with a choice of western and Thai food. All of the staff were friendly and professional (and worked so hard). We hired Bicycles from town although I would say avoid the first large hire shop you come to as the quality and maintenance are poor; keep going around the corner past the entrance to the park and look at the other two. Unless you use tuk tuks bicycles are essential to get into town and see all of the fabulous ruins and chedis etc. Check out the elephant Chedi behind the hotel (Wat Chang Tom I think). Food - we ate at Sinvana (left hand side as you go towards town; excellent food and reasonable cost. There is a restaurant opposite the hotel which was ok and another one just in the town on the right hand corner of the road which has a sign to Sukhothai Garden Hotel which was excellent. Bar - we only found one bar (left hand side past the city wall before you get to Baitong; really friendly and they shown UK football.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom
- From US$39.53 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 71 reviewsExcellent service, location and staff. We were welcomed extremely kindly and helpful. Very nice room, large and very clean. Location super central and convenient to all points of interest. But the highest score is certainly due to the helpfulness and competence of the staff (especially the receptionist!) who helped us a lot, even translating and writing for us a note containing all the allergies - note that is still "saving our lives" in other cities in Thailand (thank you!).Guest review byCristinaItaly

Sukothai's National Park with the ruins of the temples were probably THE BEST I've ever seen. Breathtakingly beautiful and amazing. Don't miss the separate temple ruins at Wat Sri Chum. Ethereal!Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 8.0

Sukhothai is an off-the-beaten-path, worthwhile historical area of Thailand—less touristy than other sites, but also more economically challenged. We enjoyed our two-night stay, which felt like just the right amount of time for us.Guest review byTimThailand - 10.0
Sukhothai was my second stop having left Ayutthaya.
Sukhothai was my second stop having left Ayutthaya. I chose Sukhothai to get the option of exploring its cultural and historical sites. There is so much to see. however, it was hot, very hot and I wasn't able to see everything I wanted. So I guess I'll just have to stop by this wonderfully chilled town again in the future. This is not a party town, this is not what I was looking for, what I found though gave me every reason to want to go back and see more. Highly recommend Poo restaurant which was close to my accommodation. Enjoy your stay, but do be careful of the heat should you take one of the many tours available.Guest review byAlanIreland
