Dar Hi was easily one of the best places we've stayed -- beautiful facilities, delicious organic food (both dinner and breakfast was included), peaceful venue overlooking the palms, interesting architecture, kind staff (we received great recommendations and one staff member helped us find a great tour), and the pool which was warmed by natural springs was so fun to swim in. It was easy to tour the Star Wars site, the medina, and oases in the desert from this Dar.

This traditional Tunisian house is located in Tozeur city centre, on the edge of the desert and a few steps from the salt lake, Chott El Djerid. It offers a hammam and modern rooms.

Staying here is like finding an oasis in the middle of the desert.. magical. Everything was great. Beautiful decor with an artistic touch , neat and tidy , ample towels for shower and swimming , personal attention from the staff , comfortable beds , spacious room, plugs at your bed to charge your phone, strong water pressure in the shower and strong air conditioning. It’s quiet and peaceful with zero noise from the bustling town yet you are a 10min walk from the Medina. We arrived on the public holiday for their prophets birthday and were treated to the special dessert that all Tunisians eat on this day. Breakfast was a treat with our table set up outside under the trees and for the coffee lovers , great coffee. I highly recommend staying here.

The hosts Fatima and Taieb are lovely people. They made us feel at home the moment we arrived. It is highly recommended to have dinner with them. The food is superb and real homemade Tunisian. The breakfast was luxurious, even in Ramadan. Taieb is happy to organize tours to the oasis and the desert at a very fair price. He even helped us with logistics in Tunisia days before we arrived. Really the best address for a stay in Tunisia.
