Breakfast was very good. Location was excellent for my needs as the job I was in Tonga to do was only 200 m from the hotel but for some guests it may be a bit far out of town.

We enjoyed our stay at the House of Tonga. The room was spacious, bright and clean. Breakfast was the same each day but with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Perfect location for the town centre plus facing the beach. The staff are fantastic and it’s all very clean. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel is excellent and even more useful on a Sunday when the whole island is shut. It gets mad busy then. Rooms cleaned daily and fresh towels every day if you want them. A great stay we loved it

This place is in an amazing location, with a beautiful house that is incredibly clean and well cared for. But what truly makes it special is the unique atmosphere you get from the moment you arrive. Maria is absolutely lovely—like a caring mamma who looks after you in every way. She even helped us rent a car! Every morning, she and her wonderful team prepared a delicious, different breakfast—honestly better than any hotel buffet. The vibes in the house are warm and welcoming. Meme was always there to help with anything we needed, and even washed our clothes without asking, which was so kind. Mei Mei came every morning to cook, and the three of them were always laughing and giggling, creating a joyful, family-like atmosphere that made us feel completely at home

The owner and her family were wonderful and very hospitable. The brekkie was a nice assortment of local fruit and toast. She arranged for a ride from the airport with a nice, local man. I definitely recommend this place.

A great stop over for connecting flights to the outer islands of Tonga. Loved the blow hole coast, good idea to hire a car to get around. The central market is worth checking out for fresh fruit, veg and craft. The Seaview Lodge Restaurant was our favourite place to eat. Wanted to try the Korean restaurant too but it wasn't open on the dates we visited.

It's a small place, but there is variety of experience here - the vibrant market, the port area with street vendors, restaurants and 'fishing pigs', the very popular Friends restaurant, open all day and evening and serving good food, reasonably priced ...the more you look, the more you find!

Nuku’ alofa isn’t set up for tourism.

Nuku’ alofa isn’t set up for tourism. They don’t really understand what customer service means or they just don’t care. While the other islands are beautiful the mainland has very little to offer in terms of interesting experiences.
