We love the atmosphere ! Place was awesome , very chill and friendly hosts ( lovely couple ) and all staff. Nice area with swimming pool and bar/restaurant next to it. Very good that breakfast never ends , not need to wake up early 😃 Very close to local shops and beach. Great staying ! Xx

The entire property is really well laid out, with trees around the pool that give it a really warm and intimate feeling but also provide much-needed shade if you burn easily like I do. The food area and swing seats are inviting and relaxing, so it's a real oasis. The rooms are light and comfortable with good air conditioning. They are also remarkably sound proof, with some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in in Tanzania. The owners and staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful, and I love the resident kittens they have taken in. The food was good and breakfast was filling and tasty. It's well located in that the beach and shops are in very easy walking distance, but it isn't impacted by the hustle and bustle or the noise that is common in other venues. A really delightful find, we will certainly be back!

I stayed at the hotel for two nights and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, just what I needed after a busy few weeks. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. I especially enjoyed the breakfast – fresh, tasty, and with a good variety. I wish I could have stayed longer. Definitely a place I’d recommend and hope to return to in the future!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality by the owners Tomas and Maggie, who went above and beyond to ensure we felt completely at home. The wonderful hotel garden, very helpful and friendly stuff, especially the extraordinary and very kind cook, beautiful and clean pool, very kind and helpful owners, delicious and big breakfast, clean spacious room with nice private Terrasse and the favourite of all Lucy the Monkey. We had peace there and could really reset good. The beach is 3 min by foot away with wonderful sunrise. We will definitely Comme again and recommend it!

    Amazing stay !! There is no better Hotel in Zanzibar The amenities, the room, the food, the location and especially the staff, everything was perfect. There is no better location in Zanzibar, it's located in the northern part of the island which is much less affected by the tides than the rest of the island. Compare to the other hotels nearby, the Gold has THE best private beach, it's wide, clean, very well maintained and the deckchair are very confortable and spaced from one another. The room is great, the bed very confortable and the housekeeping will come twice a day, including at night to prepare your bed, set the mosquito net and spray it with repellent. Not once have we seen mosquitos in our room, a huge advantage for a peace of mind when traveling in Africa. The food at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and diner is just the best: savory, fresh, and the menu changes everyday. It's mentioned on almost every comment here and it does not disappoint. Definitely recommend to get half board or all inclusive. A huge plus : they use a particular mix to attract any bees, mosquitos, hornet.. outside of the restaurant, you won't be bothered there as well. The best part is yet the staff, amazing!! everyone is so genuine and kind its incredible. Huge thanks to Emanuel who maintains a breathtaking vegetable garden , he will be very happy to show you around. Latifah at the beach, Whadija at the restaurant, thank you so much. Congratulation to the Genral Manager for maintaining a perfect place with a great, great team! Thank you

    We , a Swiss couple stayed just recently for a week in Tui Blue Bahari ! . We were very pleased that all the pictures shown on the booking website truly reflect the reality ! The beach resort is so spacious with lots of well kept greeneries and flowers around the place. Rooms are cleaned daily and upon returning to our room, we frequently found our newly made bed, decorated with flowers. The food and the service in the different restaurants are excellent ! We do not forget the whole giant swordfish which was sliced into pieces in front of our eyes and put onto the grill. A sentimental moment was the queue of singing waiters as well as the Cook, singing Happy Birthday on the very day of my birthday! Unlike in other hotels , the management here mingles among the guests, talked to them and is truly interested in hearing positive as well as negative feedbacks. Doing some jogging along the beach, I saw some other all-inclusive hotels , yet this convinced us that our choice was the perfect one ! This is really a very nice place to stay for a great holiday !! We surely recommend this Tue Blue Bahari Resort Hotel to our families and friends !! And we will surely come back here !

    It was amazing. I had a sea view room and enjoyed the sunset from there every night. It is an accommodation where you can stay all day. You can walk down the stairs barefoot and go for a swim in the warm ocean. The sea is literally in front of the accommodation. If it gets too warm, you can enjoy the calm huge pool in the garden, where there lives a small super cute monkey and a dozen mini antelopes (Dik Dik). It was like a dream for me. The restaurant at the accommodation is open all day long and serves fantastic food. The personnel was exceptionally nice and friendly, very professional and welcoming. The location is also very good, everything like ATM, market, restaurants are super close, and as said the beach is at the doorstep. For me, it can't get any better and I would definitely come back.     An outstanding Boutique Hotel in Zanzibar. It is located in a privileged location, and has direct acces to 2 diferent beaches. The rooms are enormous, with private pool, and cozy decoration. The staff here is very friendly and always greet you with a smile. The 3 pools are great, so is the restaurant area. A couple things to mention: it is far away from major tourist spots (which is good for me) bit has the Mnemba atoll right in front which is a plus. The only negative (just a little detail) is that food could improve in quality. Breakfast is awesome, so as the easy snacks you can order all day. But dinner food was a little bit under the overall quality of the Hotel. 9.5/10 would highly recommend.

    This place is Amazing ❤️ The staff go above and beyond for you with their service, So nice and Happy all the time time. we would go on Day trips and be greated with food and drink hampers free of charge to take with us.     Many restaurants and beach bars , next to Badolina Bungalows . Good prices and good food at Baraka restaurant and Nanasi restaurant. And , also , at Zava restaurant. For excursions I recommend Yussufu , very nice guy and good prices .

    Matemwe is ideal for relaxing and spending quality time with friends and family. Matemwe is near Mnemba island 🏝️ for swimming with dolphins 🐬 . We rode bicycles 🚲 around the village and the place felt very safe. There are few alternative places for lunch or dinner. Not too far from stone town.

    The sea and beach with super soft and white sand are absolutely fabulous and relatively clean. I got bitten by sand fleas on my legs because I spend a lot of time in the sea and walked barefoot. There is a lot of informal trade on the beach by locals trying to sell something. Maybe even more so if you are a woman walking alone.

    Generally, a lovely and intimate establishment with staff that care for your personal needs. The manager is so friendly and always wants to know how the guests are doing. The most beautiful sunrises. The performances add to the spice. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

    Truly enjoyed the pristine beach and the laid back nature of the place. Totally enjoyed several meals at Fish Restaurant which were absolutely delicious. I tried Kingfish, Changu, Perch, White Snapper, Prawns etc. The seafood was phenomenal. We also enjoyed seeing the turtles and the artwork at several curio shops. Also enjoyed an early morning boat ride seeing the dolphins. I can't believe how fast time went by. Looking forward to visiting Zanzibar again.

    The snorkeling was a true adventure, with well-protected marine life and crystal-clear water. Spotting the dolphins was an unexpected bonus! Visiting the sea turtle rehabilitation center and feeding them was a special experience.

    The location is great, just a minute from the ocean, there are a lot restaurants both expensive and very local ones, no issues with electricity, hot shower and air-con and the safe box. Card and cash payment is acceptable. Very safe to stay and walk around even at night, the owner is very kind and trustworthy. Very basic breakfast but it OK, no TV and fridge in the room, internet is breaking so often especially in the room, but it works perfectly at the balcony. It is very budget friendly and highly recommend it.

    The nearby beaches are scenic, but there are some important things to consider. The ocean is full of sea urchins, making swimming risky without proper footwear. During the day, low tide pulls the water far from the shore, so swimming may not always be possible. If you walk toward the reef, expect to be approached frequently by local beach vendors, which can feel intrusive — especially when you're clearly not carrying money. Local security presence is minimal, so don't expect much intervention in these situations. It's best to come prepared and manage your expectations if you're looking for a peaceful swim.

    Omg there is so much to do in Nungwi, when you have the right agent to take you around the sceneries , the people , all was worth it . Nungwi is just what you hear and see in pictures there is no exaggerations.

    Matemwe beach was huge and totally uncrowded - some days we were lucky to see 10 - 20 people pass by! Loved the Massai beach hawkers - friendly and laid back happy to have their pictures taken - no hassle or relentless chasing - once told 'no' they respected our space. Recommend a day trip to Nungwi for a completely different vibe and fantastic sunset. Matemwe is somewhat isolated and if you want to get around you need to secure the number of a local taxi driver - always bargain hard beforehand. Most hotels organise trips/tours but at a premium.
