Id Like to thank all the staff for an absolutely memorable stay :) Amani,Abdullah, Mushraf and Israel were providing top tier service during the stay. They deserve a big pay rise and they are an asset to the team. Also would like to thank the ladies. Khadogo for the kindness she showed us aswell as Baby, Asha and Katherine. Absolutely amazing people. Take care of them ! The resort is 10/10. Been all over Europe and Arabia but this one felt special. Everything you need the team are more than happy to accommodate your needs. The pool area is great for relaxing. They are always happy to take you to the beach with the buggy (alternatively you can walk five minutes). The food is unreal. The breakfast is very tasty and so fresh ! The lunch and dinner menu is amazing too. The Grilled Chicken was 10/10. The chef came out and introduced herself to us. I forgot her name. Please forgive me. Amazing food Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The outdoor shower was a vibe and a very cool feature. 24/7 Security so you felt safe all the time. Convenience store across the road. Currency exchange down the road. Highly Recommend Samawa Living. Not going to get this quality in many places these days.

The Garten Living is a lovely place to stay. The location is perfect with the beach and restaurants within walking distance. At the hotel, we enjoyed the atmosphere, the garden, and the nice spacious room with the ensuit bathroom. But most of all, we fell in love with the enthusiastic and motivated staff of the hotel. They all went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Our room was always clean, and everything we needed was taken care of. Zanzibar has its challenges with electricity, but the hotel staff works with great perseverance around this. Visiting Zanzibar made us realize how privileged a lot of us are in the world, and it humbled us in every sense as a traveler. Zanzibar will always have a special place in our hearts, and this is especially because of staying at The Garten Living.

The perfect place to visit Paje. The staff exceeded all expectations. The friendliness and kindness of the staff, namely Anna, Zenna and John made this visit unforgettable. The delicious breakfasts were a perfect start to each day. Anna really went out of her way to assist us as a family group and was very responsive to our requests. We recently stayed at Alma Boutique Hotel in Zanzibar and had an outstanding experience overall. The service was top-notch—especially the garsons, who were super friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The restaurant was amazing, offering a delightful array of seafood dishes. We would like to underline chef Ahmed. The manager was also highly attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that guests felt welcome. The rooms were cleaned up on time every day, which made our stay even more comfortable.

my fiance and I only stayed 2 days at the end of our vacation. A real shame to stay so little to be delighted with Nicole and Simon's Croissants ... the rooms are super new and equipped, minimal design with the use of creatively recycled materials. It is certainly a unique and original hotel, as well as its location on the main road, easy and close for all services and 5min from the beach.

I can not give this place less than 10/10. It is exeptional, beautifuly maintaned place with great staff, excellent food and the owner who puts 100% of himself in this place. One of my best places I have ever stayed in.

    It was a great stay for me and my family. The best part of this hotel is the entire staff. Extremely friendly and courteous.Always smiling and greeting at every opportunity.A special thanks goes to Fadhila who made us and especially my daughter feel very special and welcome.The Manager was also very friendly and polite.Overall I would rate my stay as exceptional.

    Jerry is a wonderful Location next to the beach.

    Jerry is a wonderful Location next to the beach. We stayed there for 4 days and enjoyed it The staff was very helpful and supportive. The rooms are nice and clean. And Jambiani is a nice and quiet place to stay. Next time I would go there again.

    I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in that you took home the beauty of the place and kindness of the people. It was not loud or noisy and had very few touristy hotels and vendors hassling you

    This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

    This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

    I've been in Makunduchi before and if you don't want to be in the tourist hotspot it is great! The beach is fantastic (but be aware of the low and high tides). I would recommend arranging for a driver to get around as there are many great places to visit and you shouldn't stay put in just one place.

    This place is a gem!

    This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and very friendly staff. The connection to the hospitality school is inspiring—it's not just a great stay, it’s also supporting something meaningful.. It’s rare to find a place that feels this good in every way.     beautiful beach!!!!

    beautiful beach!!!! However not the best beach for bathing because when is lower tide you simply have to walk to much for a swim. beach in the north are better if you have kids. Much more quiet than Page and less windy as well. Very safe neighborhood with nice restaurants.

    Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.

    Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats...

    Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice. Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open. We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company. Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email. The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule. The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent. Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.
