In a quiet tranquil part of Jambiani, great for relaxing. Room is spacious, bed comfortable, black out curtains. Basic but clean bathroom. Large balcony, shaded with furniture. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Beach is clean and safe with no hassle. Swimming possible at high tide in morning and afternoon. Breakfast is very plentiful and the dining area very pleasant with cooling sea breeze. We had a very enjoyable stay and wish it could have been longer.

Our stay at Barabara eat and sleep in Paje was an absolute blast! We were blown away by the stunning design, aesthetics and impeccable maintenance of the rooms, which made our stay a truly luxurious and enjoyable experience. The thoughtful complementary water bottles were a lovely touch, making us feel pampered and taken care of. But that's not all - the food was out of this world! Each meal was a uniquely curated culinary adventure that left us craving for more. We felt like we were on a foodie's paradise! Abou, the staff member, was simply amazing. He anticipated our every need and went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. He suggested the most incredible activities that catered to our interests and made sure we had a blast! Ahmid, the driver, was an absolute pro - skillful, considerate, and patient. He made sure we had a stress-free stay and took us to all the best places on the island. The welcome drinks were a delightful surprise that made us feel instantly welcomed and appreciated. The entire staff was so courteous and hospitable that we felt like royalty! We can't rate Barbara's place highly enough - it's a must-stay location for anyone visiting Paje. Trust us, you won't regret it!

We loved our stay at Kameleon Blue. The place is in a really quiet area, few minutes walking from the beach. It has a beautiful garden with nice swimming pool. We enjoyed a lot the food in the restaurant, the only varied vegetarian menu in the area. The breakfast was big and super delicious with three different options to choose from. The staff was really friendly, very good vibes and we got really nice tips from them on getting around the island. You can book any day trip or transfer directly from there.

Absolutely amazing hotel with comfortable rooms and an outstanding view. As there is only 4 rooms make the stay very comfortable and intimate. The staff is exceptional and made our stay unforgettable. Moreover, they were very helpful in terms of arranging several trips as well as taxis into Jambiani and Paje village. Besides, the pool, food and drinks were great. We can only recommend staying at Villa Bluu.

We had such a great time at Jambiani Villas - The amazing breakfast to start the day with fresh fruit, eggs to order, espresso, joghurt, pastries you name it. We loved the walk along the beach to the restaurant. The properties are all beautiful. We stayed in a 2-bedroom villa and it was just perfect - waking up with a view of the beach and ocean was amazing. Super helpful hosts who organized all our excursions and were always there to answer questions and help with transportation. We ventured out a few times to other restaurants near by for dinner - but the dinners at the restaurant of Jambiani Villas were the best- such great vibe and always changing daily special - made us feel like home.

My niece and I stayed at the Zanzibar Dream Lodge for about 9 days. The staff were professional , accommodating and very kind. Our gratitude to Kassim for making our stay in Zanzibar memorable , for his help with booking taxis from and to the airport , with my phone ( as I had few issues with it ) etc. The breakfast was ok. Dinner was great ! Plenty of options for vegans , vegetarians , pescatarians etc. The room where we stayed was spacious , clean and had a very comfortable bed. I would definitely return to the Zanzibar Dream Lodge again.

This hotel was a very good surprise. Everything was so welcominh and comfortable. Since the security that help us taking the bags to every single person that works there, everyone help us having a wonderful experience. When in high tide the sea looks like a pool, beautiful. At low tide you can walk on The beach or play a football game with locals. The restaurant has one of the most amazing foods I ever tried. The chef really deserves an award. Jambiani will stay in our hearts and if we come back to Zanzibar we definitly will be in Blue Oyster again.

This resort is breathtaking. Unfortunately I visited at a bad time of the year when there were rains and the lovely jetty was closed. But even with that, the hotel is definitely worth it. The room was super comfortable. Had some issues with water in the shower one day but the staff was very attentive and sorted it out quickly. The food!!!! Omg....the food was amazing. Soooo many options to choose from and tasted amazing. Really enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend.

We stayed in a nice, camping-style wooden house with a pool view. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable for two people. Having a rental car made it easy to get around, and the location was excellent - safe and close to Paje for additional dining options. Breakfast was outstanding, and the resort features two amazing pools and a lovely beach. Everything about our stay was perfect, and we highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

A very beautifull and comfy hotel to spend a few days relaxing. Loved the pools and the patios of the rooms. It was in rainy season so it was great to have the poll in front of our rooms. The beach is nice but you do have to wait for the tide to come in. The staff were friendly. The biliards, table tenis and table footbal were awsome for my son in the rainy days. All in all hreat value for money.

Paje, beautiful place and beach, plenty of restaurants both on the beach and on the road. The only downside is that the beach is in the shade by 16:30 and very high and low tides makes taking a dip complicated !

A peaceful and welcoming town with a strong sense of community and a safe, relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

Beautiful beach, warm and calm ocean to swim in. Lots of eating options, amazing people. Yes, there are people trying to sell you things on the beach - but was quieter than other beaches (Like Paje) and they are all respectful.

This place is a gem!

This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and very friendly staff. The connection to the hospitality school is inspiring—it's not just a great stay, it’s also supporting something meaningful.. It’s rare to find a place that feels this good in every way. It was a great stay for me and my family.

It was a great stay for me and my family. The best part of this hotel is the entire staff. Extremely friendly and courteous.Always smiling and greeting at every opportunity.A special thanks goes to Fadhila who made us and especially my daughter feel very special and welcome.The Manager was also very friendly and polite.Overall I would rate my stay as exceptional.

If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King...

If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King George or similar hotels - this is not your place. But if you are looking for clean beaches, clear sea, delicious food, peace, close contact with nature, friendly and courteous staff - this is it. There are many bars and small restaurants along the coast that offer a variety of food. In addition, in the town (of course African) you can buy products that are very fresh, and the people are friendly. Here you can buy handmade jewelry and souvenirs from the local population and the Masai.

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice. Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open. We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company. Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email. The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule. The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent. Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional...

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.
