It was a perfect hotel for me, I wanted to move in! There is amazing artwork and curios in every nook and cranny, The staff are so friendly, they are like friends. the 3 bars and restaurants are all wonderful and the spa was terrific. There is a common area workspace that is amazing too. For business, fun or as a spa retreat this property offers everything with an eye for detail, and good service. Its mountain top garden location is an oasis in the chaos of Kampala city.

The stay was lovely and the location was perfect. It was located far away from noise so it really felt like you were on your own island. The food was very tasty and I like how everything was prepare as your request. the floating breakfast is a great addition to the morning and makes you feel great. There is a range of activities to do and I appreciate that they explained well what was included and what was not included in the price. The rooms were very clean and very pretty but the best thing was how comfy the beds were.

Good location. Spacious and clean room, also I had nice view to the city. Good breakfast, even though I'd like to have a bit more choice of vegetables. Friendly and helpful staff, I forgot important document during check-out, and they contacted me and helped me to get it back!

Extreemly comfortabel hotel like the best hotels in Europe ! Everything was perfect . After traveling thru Oeganda and sleeping in Lodges and hotels where always something is not working , old , broken, no warm water , or insects keeps you awake half of the night this Mestil Hotel is totally different . It was a great pleasure to feel and experience the cleaness and luxery and eat the fantastic tastful buffet ( 3x a day). We especially thank Anne ( reception) for her kindness and help. This hotel offers more comfort and luxery then every other hotel /resort we stayed in in Oeganda ! ( Some of them where much more expensive) We stayed 2 times in Mestil hotel . First night we stayed in normal room. And we liked it very much but 2 weeks later after our safari trips we stayed two nights in the suit. ( 95m2) Fantastic !!! Worth every euro!

Hospitable and friendly staff. Enjoyed the conversations, always willing to help. Nice garden. Breakfast sometimes did not get served on time, but we were requesting much earlier breakfast time. They did their best to accommodate. A nice gym in the roof.

I love Uganda but hate Kampala with a passion.

I love Uganda but hate Kampala with a passion. I can't think of any good reason to spend time in a dirty city crammed with hooligans on motorbikes, pretentious politicians, terrible pollution, and craters masquerading as potholes. If you have to come for business so be it but get out as quickly as you can. The rest of the country is beautiful.

Dear All, I would strongly advise against booking this property. The photos shown online are completely misleading, and the actual property is nothing like what is depicted. The house is entirely different from what was advertised. To avoid losing your hard-earned money, I highly recommend that you reconsider booking this property and explore other options instead. Your trust and money should not be taken for granted, so please be cautious.

A fast paced city with a lot of history and culture.

A fast paced city with a lot of history and culture. The Kasubi tombs, the grand Mosque, The Matyrs, the Bahai temple , Owino market are all very interesting place that I visited and is highly recommended for tourists. There is however heavy traffic so you need to plan properly.

Kampala has very busy roads, mostly from the boda boda transport. They confused me when crossing because they came from all directions, but I was impressed by the fact that there were no accidents on the roads in the confusion. I enjoyed the laid back kind of old lifestyle with the old school music that related to my age group wherever you walk around. Most of all I loved the natural food wherever I went. I did not get a chance to visit the source of the Nile
