From the moment we arrived our experience at this hotel was exceptional. We loved it so much we changed our itinerary to stay an extra night. With my work I have stayed at 5 star hotels around the world and this one is up there with the best. The interior has been designed to such a high level that you are constantly noticing new and clever touches that feel luxurious and personal to the property. We especially loved the indoor / outdoor pool . Watching deer wandering in the woods outside our window and the food in the restaurant was sublime .The staff are a real credit to the hotel with their super friendly yet professional care. It was a joy to stay here and we already can't wait to go back again . Thank you Swiftwater .

The hotel was an unexpectedly lovely respite in Tamaqua, a place where we wouldn’t have expected such a property. The rooms were comfortable and the self service pantry had a nice selection of drinks and healthy snacks. The other occupants were friendly and used the common area without making too much noise. Although there was no interaction with the Innkeeper, entry and checkout was smooth and trouble free.. The room size was sufficient for our one night stay. The bed was comfortable, we were able to control the HVAC system for our comfort level, and the shower and bathroom amenities were nice. There were sufficient hangers but it would have been nice to have the floor length mirror in an open area. Overall though, the stay was very nice and we will definitely stay at the Bischoff Inn when we visit Tamaqua again.

    We liked that it was right across gate 5 from the Pocono's race way were our mud run was. Everything about the place was very nice and comfortable. Dawn and Celeste at the front desk were so nice and friendly. Yes it was not a cheap stay but worth every penny and would stay again. the place is also gated which makes you feel safe.     It has been many years since I visited Wilkes-Barre... maybe 30... Though it was not the destination, my wife and I found a lovely Thai Thai restaurant. I found the local drivers to be a bit rude and unconscious, like they were in a much bigger city than it is. I would return for sure.

    Close to many places. Bushkill Falls was great. Went to Dakota Wolf Preserve, which was wonderfully. Make sure you make reservations. There's outlets, American Candle Shoppes, antiques and thrift stores. There are many wineries and breweries also.

    Mt Airy Casino Hotel was nice, clean, friendly staff. Room was nice, 6th floor overlooking golf course. Rooms do not have refrigerators (unless you pay for one). The 2 restaurants we ate in were good, Guy Fieri's, Bisteca (excellent). We stayed for 2 days with a group to celebrate a 65th birthday. Guys got rained out of golf so we went to a winery in Stroudsberg one day. I would recommend this hotel for stay of 1 to 2 days.

I would recommend to secure outdoor doors to pool and staircase as they were not properly locked at night and would keep pool door leading to main entrance closed at all time so humidity doesn’t escape plus more lights in parking area.

    Room was perfectly heated, comfortable, and great for working. Internet was flawless. Breakfast choice was scant. The hotel needs to upgrade the breakfast choices and provide fruit that's not overripe if they really want my repeat business. Breakfast needs to demonstrate the hotel really cares about the hospitality of their guests. Had breakfast variety been of a greater variety and higher quality, the length of my stay would have not been an issue.

    Convenient and safe. Room was clean but highly deodorized to the point we had to leave the door and window open for a couple hours and it was still strong. The bed was VERY firm and pillows were like couch cushions, we couldn't use them. I had to ask the gentleman at the front desk multiple times for a cup for tea, he kept saying 'no coffee till morning. He was not very friendly. We won't return mainly due to the strong perfume smell.
